Role Description Scopely is looking for a Senior QA Manager to join our Star Trek Fleet Command team within our Midcore division, in Barcelona, Dublin, or the UK, on a remote basis. Reporting to the Executive Producer, you will adapt, build upon, and direct all QA operations for Scopely’s exciting flagship title, Star Trek Fleet Command (STFC). - Overseeing both internal and external teams/studios. - Responsible for devising the QA strategy, managing resources, and administering and coordinating tools. - Work closely with the Senior Leadership team to align on big picture goals and direction. - Champion a culture of quality throughout the business. - Represent STFC’s quality efforts and work closely with sister companies to maximize efficiency. - Ensure core fundamentals of “Quality First” are always upheld. - Help shape the future on how we continue to iterate to success and evolve the way we work. - Manage the STFC QA Leadership team, spanning all areas of the project. - Define and execute department strategy, striving for continuous improvement within a fast-paced & changing environment. - Proactively drive and educate the business-wide importance of a Culture of Quality. - Build on existing team metrics for measurement of quality and operational excellence. - Drive and coordinate our 3rd Party offshore QA team, communicating clear expectations and identifying areas for improvement. - Plan, build and work to an Annual Operating Plan within the QA department with the Executive Producer. - Ensure STFC releases are always of the highest standard, both in terms of defect mitigation & user experience. - Investigate if and when serious issues make it into the Live environment, plugging gaps and helping mitigate future occurrences. • Ensure mobile applications meet the highest quality standards. • Enhance manual QA processes, particularly for feature-specific tasks and writing manual test cases. • Be critical in release management, ensuring that each sprint's output is rigorously tested. • Refresh and update regression and feature-specific tickets. • Develop and execute manual test cases, focusing on expanding regression pack in BrowserStack. • Triage and prioritize issues in Jira. • Work closely with engineers to understand new features and create test plans. • Monitor key platform vitals in Sentry. • Foster a quality-first approach within the Product Engineering team. • Define critical smoke tests and expand test coverage. • Collaborate with 3rd party automation teams to align efforts.

• Collaborate closely with the development team, product managers, and designers to understand requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria. • Perform manual testing, including functional, regression, and exploratory testing, to validate complex functionality, edge cases, and user scenarios. • Adapt testing efforts across different platforms, including desktop, web, and mobile, while covering backend, frontend, and end-to-end testing layers. • Identify, document, and track defects using issue tracking systems, and work closely with the development team to ensure timely resolution. • Contribute to incident management by identifying and escalating risks, and assisting in mitigation and resolution efforts to maintain product reliability. • Continuously improve the QA process by proposing and implementing best practices, tools, and methodologies. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on quality goals, testing timelines, and release plans. • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in software testing and quality assurance.

Role Description FuturLab are looking for a Senior QA Tester to join the PowerWash Simulator 2 team on a 12-month fixed term contract. We are hiring this role as remote; however, a successful candidate could be office-based or work a hybrid setup, if preferred.
