Role Description Scopely is looking for a Senior QA Manager to join our Star Trek Fleet Command team within our Midcore division, in Barcelona, Dublin, or the UK, on a remote basis. Reporting to the Executive Producer, you will adapt, build upon, and direct all QA operations for Scopely’s exciting flagship title, Star Trek Fleet Command (STFC). - Overseeing both internal and external teams/studios. - Responsible for devising the QA strategy, managing resources, and administering and coordinating tools. - Work closely with the Senior Leadership team to align on big picture goals and direction. - Champion a culture of quality throughout the business. - Represent STFC’s quality efforts and work closely with sister companies to maximize efficiency. - Ensure core fundamentals of “Quality First” are always upheld. - Help shape the future on how we continue to iterate to success and evolve the way we work. - Manage the STFC QA Leadership team, spanning all areas of the project. - Define and execute department strategy, striving for continuous improvement within a fast-paced & changing environment. - Proactively drive and educate the business-wide importance of a Culture of Quality. - Build on existing team metrics for measurement of quality and operational excellence. - Drive and coordinate our 3rd Party offshore QA team, communicating clear expectations and identifying areas for improvement. - Plan, build and work to an Annual Operating Plan within the QA department with the Executive Producer. - Ensure STFC releases are always of the highest standard, both in terms of defect mitigation & user experience. - Investigate if and when serious issues make it into the Live environment, plugging gaps and helping mitigate future occurrences. Qualifications - Exceptional leadership and managerial skills with proven experience. - Excellent verbal / written communication and attention to detail. - Excellent time management, accountability, and organizational skills. - Ability to negotiate and ensure team messages are heard. - Proactive, enthusiastic, and self-motivated. - Flexible to an agile setup with the ability to multitask. - High level of commercial awareness with an understanding of business priorities and goals. - Comfortable traveling on occasion to offshore team locations. - Exceptional reporting capabilities. - Extensive knowledge of JIRA and/or similar bug-tracking systems. We are hiring this role as remote; however, a successful candidate could be office-based or work a hybrid setup, if preferred.
