Senior Energy Analyst

Role Description ICF Incorporated, LLC is seeking a Senior Energy Analyst in Reston, VA. The role involves: - Completing technical reviews of construction drawings, including Architectural and Structural drawings. - Analyzing floor plans and elevations for inputs into energy modeling software. - Identifying insulation values and types of materials used in different building areas. - Evaluating energy conservation measures by reviewing Mechanical drawings. - Reviewing thermal and cooling efficiencies of HVAC systems and understanding the duct network. - Identifying the type of domestic hot water system for common areas and apartments. - Reviewing electrical drawings for detailed calculations on lighting fixtures. - Analyzing the lighting schedule and fixture specification sheets for modeling tool inputs. - Researching plumbing drawings and analyzing the water flow network. - Documenting flow rates for different fixtures and comparing with standard baseline values. - Compiling and reviewing data collected and formatting it for the modeling tool. - Building quantitative models to evaluate benefits of energy conservation measures. - Modeling impacts of different systems to calculate thermal and electrical savings. - Verifying data generated by the modeling tool after drawing revisions. - Communicating with project stakeholders like architects, developers, and engineers. - Contributing to new solutions to optimize program processes. - Using project management tools like Basecamp and Microsoft Planner. - Introducing reforms in the recruitment process to increase developer participation. - Training new hires on job requirements and assisting with energy modeling. - Analyzing KPIs related to outreach, invoiced projects, and offer letters. - Attending conferences and webinars to develop a professional network. - Monitoring progress towards program goals on contractor/consultant participation. - Creating weekly reports showcasing processes needed to generate energy models. - Producing monthly trend reports on outreach efforts and project registrations. - Presenting charts summarizing half-yearly and quarterly changes. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Energy Engineering, Energy Systems, Building Science, or closely related energy efficiency field and 5 years of progressively responsible experience in data management. - Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Energy Engineering, Energy Systems, Building Science, or closely related energy efficiency field and 1 year of experience in data management. Requirements - 1 year of experience with energy efficiency, construction, or administration. - 1 year of experience with MS Office Applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel). - Demonstrated knowledge of CRM database and/or other related software applications. - Experience with Microsoft Power BI and/or other data visualization and analytical tools. - Project management experience. - Knowledge of energy efficiency and US policies for residential energy programs. - Understanding of sustainable building practices and technologies. - Any suitable combination of education, training, and/or experience will be accepted. Benefits - Position eligible for up to 100% remote work; may be performed from anywhere in the US. - Pay range for this position is: $135,262 to $137,949/year.
