CPQ Administrator
EverCommerce
• Lead discovery sessions to understand and document current state lead-to-quote, CPQ, billing, and services delivery processes, issues impacting user experience and revenue leakage, and requirements for future state implementation. • Understand and align requirements provided by a complex set of stakeholders, including: Legal, Accounting, Billing, Marketing, Sales, and others. • Lead design sessions with cross-functional teams to review and document future state processes and system architecture across Salesforce and Zuora. • Implement and administer Salesforce CRM environments including custom Apex development, Flows, and declarative configuration. • Implement and administer Zuora CPQ environments including product catalog design, charge models, pricing rules, subscription and amendment workflows, and Zuora 360 integration with Salesforce. • Coordinate with Business Operations and Financial Systems teams to provide end-to-end solution design leadership across the CRM-to-billing value chain. • Lead user acceptance testing for major development categories, including development of test plans and support of test users. • Enable end-user success through seminar-style training sessions, office hours, and ad-hoc support channels. • Support mentorship of other team resources in Salesforce, Zuora, operational tools, architecture, design, and best practices. • Collaborate on the development of templates and playbooks to ensure that the team is optimally positioned to leverage our collective knowledge and experience and ensure predictable, high-quality project outcomes. • Engage with EverCommerce and subsidiary leadership on status updates, working sessions, and solution design. • Communicate recommendations, project progress, and achieved outcomes through a variety of media, including: presentations, emails, and diagrams such as Lucid Chart, Figma, or similar.
Job Requirements
- 5-10+ years of combined experience across Salesforce.com administration/development and Zuora CPQ/Billing administration, or other related work experience such as equivalent CRM administration, subscription billing, operational data engineering, and BI solutioning.
- Strong Apex development skills, including triggers, batch Apex, Apex REST/SOAP web services, and test classes.
- Ability to write, review, and troubleshoot Apex code in a production environment.
- Deep knowledge of Zuora CPQ and Zuora Billing, including product catalog configuration, charge models (recurring, usage, one-time), rate plan structures, subscription lifecycle management, amendment workflows, and Zuora 360 sync with Salesforce.
- Experience with Zuora APIs (REST and SOAP), ZOQL, data exports, and integration patterns between Zuora and other platforms.
- Proficiency with Salesforce declarative tools including Flows, Process Builder (legacy), validation rules, and the Salesforce data model.
- Well-versed and experienced with scrum and agile software development methods and tactics, including epic and user story development, backlog grooming and refinement, and collaborating with engineering, product owner, and end-user stakeholders.
- Understanding of commercial processes and terminology and general understanding of lead-to-quote, quote-to-cash, subscription billing, and accounting principles; also understand services delivery processes like project management, implementation, product fulfillment, customer support, and technical support.
- Experience with Excel, SQL, data warehouses, BI tools like Looker or PowerBI, and/or data engineering tools and platforms a STRONG plus.
- Experience with basic programming and querying REST APIs using pre-developed frameworks in Python or similar languages a STRONG plus.
