Illumination Works
• Lead the design, development, and implementation of complex ServiceNow applications, including custom modules, workflows, forms, and dashboards • Architect scalable and maintainable ServiceNow solutions aligned with organizational goals and platform best practices • Develop advanced client-side and server-side scripts using JavaScript and Glide APIs • Build reusable components and libraries to improve development efficiency and long-term maintainability • Design and implement integrations with external systems using REST and SOAP APIs • Develop and maintain integrations using IntegrationHub, Flow Designer, and custom scripting • Implement secure authentication mechanisms, including OAuth 2.0 and API keys • Collaborate with client leadership, project managers, and technical teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions • Define and enforce ServiceNow development standards, governance policies, and best practices • Lead testing efforts including system testing, regression testing, and UAT • Optimize scripts, workflows, and integrations for performance, scalability, and reliability • Troubleshoot complex issues using ServiceNow diagnostic and monitoring tools • Support and optimize ServiceNow for service desk operations • Improve ticket workflows, SLAs, routing, and automation • Develop dashboards and reports to track KPIs, SLAs, and service performance • Plan and execute ServiceNow platform upgrades and ensure compatibility of customizations • Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including design specifications and configuration guides
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with ServiceNow development, configuration, and architecture
- Advanced proficiency in JavaScript and Glide APIs (client-side and server-side)
- Strong experience designing custom applications, workflows, forms, and dashboards
- Hands-on experience with UI Builder and modern ServiceNow technologies
- Proven experience building integrations using REST and SOAP APIs
- Knowledge of multiple ServiceNow modules (ITSM, ITOM, CSM, SecOps, GRC, PSDS)
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
- CompTIA Security+ certification or ability to quickly obtain Active Secret clearance
