Junior Controller

• You plan and manage our liquidity, cash flow and monthly financial results – and you understand what the numbers mean • You support budget, forecast and scenario planning and assist with monthly and annual closings • You take responsibility for commercial project controlling for implementation and customer projects • You develop KPIs that actually drive decisions – and act as a sparring partner for managers and the executive team • You actively develop and implement finance processes – from concept to rollout • You drive the adoption of BI, ERP and AI tools within Finance • You also help out with day-to-day tasks – accounting and preparation for bookkeeping

Job Requirements

  • Degree in Business Administration, Business Informatics or a related field and at least 3 years of experience in controlling or finance
  • You have not only observed processes but actively shaped and implemented them
  • Experience with BI tools (e.g., Power BI), AI applications and very strong Excel skills; knowledge of DATEV is a clear plus
  • Strong affinity for digital tools and automation – you question existing workflows and iteratively improve them
  • Independent, structured working style combined with a communicative, hands-on personality
  • Good understanding of business models in SaaS and project environments as well as finance processes in growing tech companies
  • You come from a dynamic environment – startup, scale-up or tech-driven company – and understand what that means
  • Fluent German and English, both written and spoken

Join our Team About this opportunity: We are looking for a senior finance professional to play a critical role in strengthening project financial governance across our operations in Mexico, with exposure to the Americas region. This position sits at the intersection of project controlling, accounting, and business partnering, with a strong focus on contract assessment and revenue recognition compliance. You will act as a trusted advisor to the business, ensuring that financial decisions and project performance are aligned with accounting standards, internal policies, and strategic objectives. What you will do: - Lead contract assessment activities, ensuring alignment with internal accounting directives (AD09) and revenue recognition requirements ( IFRS15). - Analyze complex customer contracts and provide accounting guidance prior to execution, identifying risks and ensuring proper financial treatment. - Act as the financial focal point for Order-to-Cash (O2C) processes within projects, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and transparency. - Partner closely with Project Managers, Sales, and Operations to challenge assumptions and support sound decision-making. - Ensure accurate revenue and cost recognition, aligned with project milestones and accounting standards. - Drive data integrity in SAP (S/4HANA) including the proper structuring of projects in the system and ensure consistency between operational and financial data. - Identify and mitigate financial risks, including compliance, revenue leakage, and contract misinterpretation. - Support and respond to internal and external audits, ensuring proper documentation and justification of accounting treatments. - Contribute to process improvements and digitalization initiatives, leveraging automation and new technologies to enhance efficiency. - Build strong relationships with stakeholders across different countries, acting as a bridge between finance and business. - Provide financial insight, challenge assumptions, and support decision making.
