Role Description We are seeking experienced and dedicated General Practitioners (GPs) to join our remote healthcare team. This role offers the opportunity to deliver high-quality virtual consultations to patients across the UK, ensuring excellent patient outcomes and satisfaction. Please note that this role requires a minimum commitment of 4 sessions per week. Responsibilities - Clinical Consultations: - Provide remote consultations via video, phone, or secure messaging platforms. - Diagnose, manage, and treat a range of medical conditions within the scope of primary care. - Prescribe medications and provide appropriate health advice. - Deliver preventative health services, including health screenings and lifestyle advice. - Collaboration & Referrals: - Liaise with other healthcare professionals and services, ensuring seamless patient care. - Refer patients for specialist investigations or secondary care when clinically indicated. - Work collaboratively with third-party healthcare providers to maintain service consistency. - Compliance & Governance: - Ensure adherence to GMC guidelines and clinical governance standards. - Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records (EMR). - Participate in quality assurance activities, including audits and clinical reviews. - Patient Advocacy: - Promote patient-centred care by actively involving patients in decision-making. - Support patients in navigating healthcare systems and accessing appropriate services. - Training & Development: - Participate in regular training sessions, CPD activities, and peer reviews. - Stay updated on advancements in telemedicine and digital healthcare. Qualifications - Full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) and a valid license to practice. - Minimum 2 years of post-qualification experience in general practice. - Minimum 2 years of post-qualification experience in primary care. - Experience or interest in digital healthcare/telemedicine is desirable. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport remotely. - Proficiency in using electronic health record systems and telehealth platforms. - Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends if required. Desirable - Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage a high volume of patient interactions. - Familiarity with remote healthcare systems and their integration into patient pathways. - Commitment to delivering equitable, high-quality care in a virtual setting.
