Lead Mechanical Engineer – Electrical Modules

GE Vernova

• Lead the mechanical engineering scope for FPSO E-House projects, ensuring delivery to quality, cost, and schedule • Produce and review designs, specifications, calculations, and technical documentation for systems including HVAC, heat exchangers, fire detection, fire suppression, gas detection, Inergen, piping, mechanical handling, and safety systems • Manage engineering deliverables, including document quality, on-time delivery, and customer comment resolution • Act as the key interface between Customer, GE, Module Fabricator, and Sub-suppliers, providing technical leadership across stakeholders • Ensure designs comply with health & safety requirements, international standards, and class society rules, and lead review of technical drawings, layouts, isometrics, and 3D model inputs • Support FATs, testing and commissioning activities, and provide technical support to Sales and ComOps during tendering.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineering
  • 10+ years’ experience in a similar role within FPSO, offshore oil & gas, marine, power, or utilities
  • Strong experience in the offshore marine industry, especially FPSO E-house
  • Technical knowledge of systems such as HVAC, heat exchangers, fire detection/suppression, gas detection, Inergen, piping, and mechanical handling
  • Experience in design engineering, field engineering, manufacturing, shop assembly, or spares/replacement parts support
  • Ability to read and write technical specifications
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, and commercial awareness
  • Willingness to travel as required
