Role Description This course provides an in-depth exploration of the integrated relationship between human life and the surrounding environment, beginning with a study of the fundamental concepts and principles of ecology. Topics that are interwoven throughout the course include: - Principles of ecology, as seen in the structure and function of the ecosystem - Pollution of air, soil, and water resources - Population explosion and the relationship of people, disease, and food production - Environmental controls necessary for survival Adjunct Faculty will report to an Academic Dean. Responsibilities - Competency-Based Education (CBE) allows students to master content and skills within a course or program at their own pace. - Students are able to show what they know when they know it. - CBE courses are broken into multiple modules that are self-paced. - Each module has an assessment at the end of it that allows students to demonstrate their mastery of the material. - CBE Assessment Adjunct Faculty members focus on grading the work coming in from students. - Grading is facilitated through the use of detailed rubrics and feedback. - Very little direct communication is had with students, allowing for an unbiased grading process. Key Accountabilities - The essential function of the position includes, but is not limited to, the following tasks, duties, and responsibilities consistent with the function. - The employee is expected to perform all other duties as requested, directed, and/or assigned. - Adjunct faculty will be assigned up to 3 work units per academic quarter. Student and University Support and Professionalism - Faculty are responsible for creating a classroom presence in support of students in collaboration with their Dean. - Student support and outreach that supports the success of students is accomplished through faculty availability to students. - Faculty will attend events, programmatic meetings, and committee work as agreed upon and/or designated by the Dean. - Appropriate behavior, language, professional communication, demeanor, and dress will be exhibited at all times. Professional Development - Faculty must complete a minimum of six (6) Rasmussen Educational Units (REUs) annually or two (2) REUs per quarter for each quarter you teach. Experience and Qualifications - Teaching experience preferred (Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the field of study). - Self-motivated, flexible, and able to work in a team environment with minimal supervision. - Strong interpersonal skills to interact with students, leadership, and peers. - Excellent written communication and strong verbal communication skills in the English language. - Online adjuncts will need regular access to a computer with the following system requirements: - Windows XP or greater - Microsoft Office 2010 - An internet connection Education, Certifications and Licensures - Master’s in Environmental Sciences or Environmental Chemistry. - Must be able to provide professional licenses/certifications required for specialized schools (Health Sciences, Nursing) before teaching. - Must be able to provide official transcripts for each degree earned from an accredited institution before teaching. • Own and drive the AI transformation roadmap, advancing maturity from early-stage (Level 0–1) to scalable adoption (target: Level 3) • Identify and prioritize high-impact AI use cases across Finance, GTM, and Product in partnership with functional leaders • Lead execution of AI initiatives, including workflow automation and agentic AI capabilities • Ensure foundational systems and data structures are designed to support scalable AI adoption • Own the architecture and evolution of the business systems ecosystem across all functions • Define how core systems (e.g., HubSpot, NetSuite, Snowflake, and others) integrate, interact, and scale • Establish and maintain a unified data model and clear system-of-record definitions across the organization • Evaluate and guide selection of tools, platforms, and data infrastructure (e.g., warehouse, ETL, BI) • Design data flows and system interoperability to enable reporting, automation, and AI use cases • Act as the primary steward of business data integrity, consistency, and accessibility • Own administration and optimization of key business systems, with a willingness to be hands-on where needed (e.g., configuration, field creation, workflow updates) • Partner with RevOps, Finance, and other stakeholders to ensure systems support evolving business needs • Provide architectural guidance for CRM (HubSpot) and ERP (NetSuite), while collaborating with functional owners on day-to-day usage • Ensure systems are scalable, well-structured, and aligned with downstream reporting and analytics requirements • Partner with Finance and RevOps to implement and scale business intelligence capabilities • Support the development of data models, reporting layers, and dashboards that enable real-time decision-making • Help define and standardize key metrics, KPIs, and reporting frameworks across the organization • Improve data quality and reliability across systems and reporting environments • Serve as the program manager for high-impact, cross-functional initiatives across Finance, GTM, Product, and Operations • Establish structure, accountability, and execution rigor across strategic projects • Align stakeholders, manage dependencies, and ensure initiatives are delivered on time and with clear outcomes • Act as a connective layer across teams to drive progress and reduce organizational friction • Identify gaps where systems, data, and processes are disconnected • Design and implement scalable workflows that improve efficiency and data integrity • Partner with RevOps and other functional leaders to ensure process changes are supported by strong systems design • AI maturity advances to Level 4 with clearly defined and operational use cases • A cohesive systems architecture is established, with clear integration patterns across HubSpot, NetSuite, and data platforms • A reliable data foundation is in place, with a defined source of truth and improved data consistency across systems • Business intelligence capabilities are implemented and actively used by leadership • Cross-functional initiatives are executed with greater speed, clarity, and accountability • Systems and data are structured to support automation and future AI expansion
