Payroll Analyst
Warner Music Group
• Assist with bi-weekly/semi-monthly payroll processing and reconciliation • Responsible for all employee time, earnings, deductions, and tax data for accuracy • Research and resolve payroll discrepancies and employee inquiries • Bi-weekly, run and format audit report; assist in troubleshooting any variances • Assist in testing payroll system changes, enhancements, and integrations • Support year-end activities such as W-2 validation and reporting • Maintain payroll inbox and provide top notch customer service to all employees’ inquiries • Audit data integrity between our HRIS and payroll system • Research and resolve tax inquiries with One Source Virtual • Maintain payroll records and support document retention compliance • Run payroll reports and assist in preparing metrics and dashboards • Collaborate with HR and Finance to ensure accurate employee data flow
Job Requirements
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, HR, or related field
- 3–5 years of payroll or HR data experience
- Experience and proficiency in payroll systems, including cloud technologies (preferably Workday Payroll)
- Experience working in a SOX controlled environment
- Strong work-ethic and are a self-starter with effective organizational skills with attention to detail who proactively seeks out new solutions
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize projects. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Proficient in Excel/Google Sheets (v lookups, pivot tables, formulas)
- Strong attention to detail and confidentiality
- Ability to troubleshoot data issues and communicate clearly with employees
