Senior Product Owner, Financial Reporting – Equity

• Assist with the product roadmap for financial reporting features, balancing regulatory changes, customer needs, competitive positioning, and platform scalability • Define multi-quarter feature priorities based on revenue impact, regulatory requirements (ASC 718, IFRS 2), and technical dependencies • Conduct competitive analysis of financial reporting capabilities across equity management and equity accounting platforms • Partner with Sales, Customer Success, and key customer stakeholders to identify reporting gaps and deliver best-in-class financial reporting solutions • Write comprehensive PRDs with detailed functional specifications, calculation logic, reporting workflows, edge cases, and acceptance criteria • Define report structures, data models, and calculation methodologies with precision appropriate for financial close and audit processes • Conduct technical review sessions with engineering teams to validate requirements and identify implementation risks before development begins • Partner with Compliance and Legal teams to ensure reporting capabilities meet applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements • Lead discovery sessions with corporate accounting, finance, and equity administration stakeholders to understand reporting pain points and requirements

Job Requirements

  • 2+ years in product management or product owner roles, preferably in B2B SaaS environments
  • 3+ years of experience in equity financial reporting
  • Proven track record of delivering complex SaaS reporting features or financial modules from concept to launch
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration abilities with a demonstrated aptitude for influencing and building consensus among cross-functional stakeholders
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and prioritization skills
  • Deep understanding of ASC 718 stock-based compensation accounting, including expense recognition, forfeiture modeling, and footnote disclosure requirements
  • Familiarity with IFRS 2 and international equity accounting considerations
  • Understanding of EPS dilution calculations (basic and diluted) and their relationship to equity awards
  • Solid understanding of equity compensation plan types, including stock options, RSUs, PSUs, and ESPP
  • Bachelor 's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field required
