Sizanid Staffing is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist to join our growing HR team. As a Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for managing the full payroll cycle and ensuring accurate and timely compensation for our employees and clients. This role requires a strong understanding of payroll laws, compliance, and tax regulations, as well as proficiency with payroll software and systems. You will collaborate closely with HR, finance, and operations teams to deliver a seamless payroll experience and contribute to the efficiency of our organizational processes. Key Responsibilities - Process and manage the full payroll cycle accurately and timely for employees and contingent workers. - Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and tax regulations. - Maintain payroll records, reconcile discrepancies, and resolve payroll inquiries. - Calculate and process wage adjustments, bonuses, commissions, and deductions. - Manage employee benefits related payroll functions such as garnishments, tax withholdings, and leave deductions. - Prepare and submit payroll tax filings and reports on time. - Collaborate with HR and finance teams to maintain data accuracy. - Assist in payroll audits and implement improvements for payroll processes.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of payroll processing experience, preferably within staffing or recruitment industry.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of payroll laws, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency with payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex, QuickBooks Payroll) and MS Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent numerical and analytical skills.
  • Good organizational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Experience with multi-state payroll processing is a plus.
