We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Manual Tester to join our banking technology team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software quality assurance within financial systems, combined with a solid understanding of Agile methodologies and cloud-based environments (Google Cloud Platform). This role focuses on ensuring reliability, compliance, and performance across digital banking solutions, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality releases. Location: remote What You’ll Be Doing - Develop, document, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for complex banking applications - Validate functional, integration, and regression test coverage across multiple releases and environments - Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product owners in Agile ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, refinements, retrospectives) - Conduct defect triage meetings, ensuring issues are well-documented, prioritized, and tracked to closure - Test API integrations, data flows, and back-office banking processes to maintain data integrity and compliance - Work closely with DevOps and cloud engineering teams to test systems deployed on Google Cloud (GCP) - Apply testing strategies for certifying builds and ensure readiness for production deployments - Provide mentoring and guidance to junior testers and contribute to process improvements in QA strategy What We’re Looking For - Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field - Minimum 5–7 years of experience in manual testing, preferably in the banking or financial services sector - Proven experience working in Agile Scrum or Kanban environments - Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and defect management processes - Familiarity with Google Cloud technologies such as BigQuery, Spanner - Hands-on experience with tools such as JIRA, Confluence - Good knowledge of SQL for data validation and backend testing - Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and communication abilities Nice to have: - ISTQB certification or equivalent QA credentials. - Extra Points - German Speaker/Reader - Exposure to automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Postman,Jmeter) for future integration with manual testing frameworks - Experience in testing digital banking applications, core banking systems, or payment platforms
