Vehicle Inspection Engineer – Bus Management (m/f/d)

Berliner Verkehrsbetriebe (BVG)

• Coordinate main inspections on BVG buses • Perform statutory main inspections, including any necessary follow-up checks • Conduct spot quality checks on buses • Document results accurately and comprehensively • Develop and implement optimization concepts for the main inspection process

Job Requirements

  • Officially recognized qualification as a motor vehicle inspection engineer (PI), expert (aaS or aaSmt), or inspector (aaP)
  • Completed degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or Electrical Engineering
  • Driving license for all vehicle classes except D and D1
  • Very good German language skills (minimum C1)
  • Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations and technical standards (e.g., BOKraft, StVZO, StVO)
  • Initial practical experience in vehicle technology or maintenance processes
  • Knowledge of environmental protection and occupational health & safety
  • Strong team skills with clear goal orientation and persuasive communication
  • Analytical problem-solving skills and strategic thinking
