Overview As a Manager, Revenue Accounting Operations at Fanatics Betting & Gaming (FBG), you are here to join our high-energy Accounting and Finance team. The Manager of Revenue Accounting Operations plays a critical role in executing and scaling revenue accounting operations, ensuring accurate close, strong controls, and audit readiness within the Accounting and Finance Department reporting to the Senior Manager, Revenue. This role has direct ownership of key revenue accounting processes, including monthly close execution, review controls, and audit coordination within a complex, highly regulated, and data-intensive environment. Our successful candidate must be a collaborative accounting professional with the background and interpersonal skills to function successfully in a high growth and fast-paced environment with excellent skills around prioritization, collaboration and influencing. Ideally, our candidate is comfortable and effective in a rapidly changing environment and will partner closely with the leaders of data, tax, treasury, legal, and FP&A, as well as a broad group of cross-functional business teams in order to provide guidance, and support well informed decisions. Our candidate will be expected to identify and resolve issues, while exercising good business judgment and risk management. This role requires strong communication skills to effectively facilitate information flow between business functions and Accounting and Finance, and to partner with senior leaders. Responsibilities - Own and execute the monthly revenue close process, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance - Review and oversee revenue share calculations, account reconciliations, and AR matching results - Develop processes for the preparation and recording of required journal entries for certain processes - Ownership of data flows and system dependencies for financial reporting - Support cross-functional initiatives including new product launches, cost of revenue analysis, and ad-hoc accounting requests - Analyze results and variances, identifying trends, and recommend actions - Maintain process documentation and ensure SOX control readiness as the business scales - Serve as revenue accounting lead for stand-alone state audits and regulatory reviews - Ensure revenue accounting practices are compliant with GAAP - Coordinate and manage external audit requests, including PBCs, walkthroughs, and follow-ups - Provide hands-on leadership to a team of revenue accounting professionals, balancing direct execution with coaching, review, and team development - Must be open to occasional travel to Fanatics Betting & Gaming offices and other locations for conferences, events, meetings, and team building activities. Qualifications - Bachelor or higher degree in accounting or finance - 5-7 years of experience in revenue accounting, accounting operations, or a related finance role - Experience in building cross-functional relationships and partnering with senior leaders - Working knowledge of US GAAP as it relates to revenue recognition and internal controls - Ability to think proactively and work in a highly collaborative and fast-paced environment - Desire to develop and continuously improve processes - Experience handling annual audits - Excellent proficiency in the use of spreadsheet programs and other software applications for financial analysis with strong analytical skills - Ability to organize and prioritize tasks - Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills Ranges will change based on country and state of residence, which are reflected in Geographical Zones defined by Fanatics Betting and Gaming.
