• Executing strategic sales plans to meet district quotas and expand market share within their assigned territory. • Team Leadership: They lead and manage a team of sales representatives, providing coaching, training, and performance feedback to enhance their skills and effectiveness. • Performance Analysis: Analyzing sales data and market trends is crucial for identifying new business opportunities and adjusting sales strategies accordingly. • Field Visits: Regular field visits with sales representatives allow them to observe techniques, offer direct coaching, and support client interactions. • Collaboration: They work closely with Key Industry Sales to ensure alignment of sales efforts with company goals and provide market feedback. • Assign Sales and Profit targets to align to strategic initiatives. • Performance management, talent development and talent retention. • Develop and maintain succession plan for the Sales District. • Hire, train and coach Technical Sales Representative to develop effective Sales techniques, Technical problem solving, product knowledge and awareness of customer needs. • Hire and identify needed training to develop effective Technical problem solving, product knowledge and awareness of customer needs. • Manage pipeline and target accounts to meet our growth objectives. • Execute Strategy of targets as identified as part of District Strategic Roadmap in collaboration with Regional Sales-Industries. • Execution of global strategies within each Industry Segment key customers.
Job Requirements
- BS Degree Desired
- 3-5 years of sales experience and leadership.
- Industrial Technical Sales experience including pretreatment, surface treatment, and metalworking in the Specialty Chemical Industry.
- Sales and Business acumen (account & relationship management, value-based selling, etc.)
- Leadership skills: ability to motivate and develop a sales team.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Strategic thinking skills.
- Travel: The position requires 50% travel; the District Manager will reside in his / her assigned District geography.
