• Act as the primary point of contact and trusted advisor for clients throughout the project lifecycle. • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with client stakeholders to ensure satisfaction and foster ongoing engagement. • Proactively manage client communications, providing strategic updates and anticipating needs to drive a positive experience. • Collaborate cross-functionally to align project execution with client goals, ensuring outcomes meet or exceed expectations. • Ensure a smooth transition to post-implementation support, maintaining continuity and client confidence. • Identify and surface opportunities for additional services or solutions that support client success and contribute to account growth. • Develop comprehensive project plans outlining timelines, milestones, budgets, deliverables, and resource requirements. • Lead team onboarding activities to ensure alignment and readiness for successful project execution. • Distribute pre-kickoff materials and onboarding documentation to set clear project engagement expectations. • Facilitate internal and client-facing kickoff meetings to establish shared goals, roles, and success criteria. • Lead project execution in alignment with defined scope, timelines, and budgets. • Assign and coordinate tasks across cross-functional teams to ensure timely and high-quality delivery. • Review and approve project time entries to ensure accuracy and compliance. • Oversee project financials, including revenue recognition and budget tracking. • Facilitate the discovery, scoping, development, and delivery of change requests. • Monitor project progress and proactively adjust plans to meet client expectations. • Track key milestones and timelines, reallocating resources and adjusting workflows as needed. • Manage third-party project deliverables and follow up to ensure timely closure. • Serve as the primary liaison for all internal and external project stakeholders, ensuring clear and consistent communication throughout the project lifecycle. • Lead regular project status meetings, tailoring cadence and format to project size and complexity. • Distribute weekly status summaries, meeting recaps, and recordings, and maintain organized documentation within the designated project folder. • Keep project plans, timelines, and budgets up to date, proactively communicating changes and impacts to stakeholders. • Provide timely and strategic updates to clients and executive leadership to ensure alignment and transparency. • Identify, assess, and address issues that may impact project scope, timeline, or deliverables. • Monitor open issues to ensure timely resolution and maintain project momentum. • Lead issue resolution efforts, collaborating with internal teams and stakeholders to keep projects on track. • Proactively escalate risks and implement mitigation strategies to minimize disruption and ensure successful outcomes. • Ensure all project deliverables are completed to defined quality standards and client expectations. • Lead project closure meetings and coordinate seamless transitions to post-implementation support teams. • Document lessons learned and contribute insights to continuous improvement initiatives and best practices. • Provide strategic recommendations to enhance administrative and operational processes that support project delivery and client success.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 4 years of progressive experience leading information systems development or implementation projects, with a strong emphasis on ERP systems designed to optimize financial operations and performance.
  • Proven success managing end-to-end ERP projects, ideally involving Sage Intacct, Sage 100, or Sage 300.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver projects on time, within budget, and in scope, supported by a strong project management foundation.
  • Solid understanding of ERP concepts; experience in the construction or nonprofit sectors is a plus.
  • Proven track record of achieving business objectives and meeting key performance metrics.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • PMP Certification strongly preferred.

Role Description HGL has a position open for an Environmental Project Manager I to manage and support projects primarily within Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Region 3 (Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware, Virginia, West Virginia, and Washington, D.C.). The Environmental Project Manager I will manage projects for HGL’s government clients, mainly the U.S. EPA, and potentially the U.S. Air Force, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, U.S. Department of Defense, U.S. Department of Energy, and other federal and state government clients. Responsibilities/Duties - Managing and supporting CERCLA-regulated remediation projects and field investigations at hazardous waste sites. - Developing project budgets based on scope and developing project schedules to meet performance and payment milestones. - Directing, managing, and leading project teams to meet project objectives in line with corporate and customer quality expectations. - Communicating effectively with clients, regulators, project team members, field crews, subcontractors, and company management. - Analyzing and interpreting environmental and analytical data. - Managing technical and administrative aspects of project deliverables, including reviewing and authoring technical reports, specifically CERCLA Remedial Investigations, Feasibility Studies, Remedial Designs, Remedial Action Work Plans, or similar phases of environmental restoration projects. - Procuring subcontractors, developing cost estimates, and overseeing field teams. - Managing project risks and developing associated mitigation approaches and strategies. - Supporting business development efforts, including leading or supporting proposal efforts. - Supervising project staff. - Traveling to project sites and client offices, as needed, approximately 10% of the time.
