As the Director of Employment, Ethics & Compliance, you’ll play a key role in helping Gong scale globally by assisting us in designing and implementing world class, scalable employment compliance programs while serving as a strategic advisor to the People Team and the Gong Leadership Team. RESPONSIBILITIES - Provide legal support to the Gong People Team on employment matters globally, including: - ER matters - Benefits - LOAs - Investigations - Training - Policy compliance - Compensation Review, including the Sales Comp Plan - Job Classification matters - Recruiting - Immigration - Litigation/arbitration - Ethics & Integrity - Review the Code of Conduct and establish an annual acknowledgment of the CoC as well as other key policies - Lead the internal investigations process and establish and manage the global Ethics Hotline - An important part of this role is to recognize that Gong is a Revenue AI platform, and Ethics isn’t just about HR, it is about how data is used both by Gong as well as by our customers - Partner with the Product & Engineering teams to ensure employment related AI features align with global ethical standards and data privacy laws such as GDPR and CCPA - Where necessary talk with customers or prospects on how the features of Gong align with such standards and regulations - Compliance and Training - Partner with the People Team to develop and deploy training on topics required for compliance as well as to reinforce the Gong way of doing business. This includes anti-harassment, anti-bribery and ethics (including data ethics). - Culture - Gong is an awesome place to work. The annual salary hiring range for this position is $275,000 - $305,000 USD. Compensation is based on factors unique to each candidate, including, but not limited to, job-related skills, qualification, education, experience, and location. At Gong, we have a location-based compensation structure, which means there may be a different range for candidates in other locations. The total compensation package for this position, in addition to base compensation, may include incentive compensation, bonus, equity, and benefits. • Conduct due diligence on third parties as per L3Harris policy, focusing on international and domestic Sales Consultants, Distributors, and Representatives (CDRs) as well as monitor and ensure timely renewal of CDR agreements • Coordinate with internal stakeholders, especially those in Sales/Business Development, regarding due diligence of CDRs • Communicate directly with CDRs to gather due diligence materials and answer follow-up questions. Update corporate databases accordingly • Evaluate due diligence materials for inconsistencies and red flags and facilitate follow-ups with employees and/or third parties globally • Review high-risk payments prior to issuance, ensuring compliance with policies and that proper due diligence has been conducted • Draft letters and agreements for third parties, collaborating as necessary with the Contracts and Legal Departments • Review requests for providing and receiving business courtesies, escalating as required • Develop guidance and training materials and lead training sessions for internal stakeholders • Support internal and external audits related to the anti-corruption program, CDRs, and business courtesies • Collaborate with functional leaders to implement local anti-corruption processes and internal controls, including AC Internal Control over Financial Reporting (ICFR) controls • Occasional travel may be required (10% or less) • Ability to obtain US Government security clearance
