Role Description Responsible for leading strategic communications with state regulatory agencies and ensuring compliance with state laws, local ordinances and negotiated settlements. Work Location - Remote Main Responsibilities - Policy Analysis and Advocacy: - Analyzing state regulations and legislation, local ordinances and policy issues. - Advocating for the company’s policy agenda in proceedings of state regulatory bodies and with staff. - Monitoring relevant policy discussions at the federal, state and local levels. - Regulatory Compliance: - Collaborating with other business units to ensure accurate and timely required filings. - Tracking various regulatory requirements across numerous jurisdictions. - Managing customer escalations from governmental agencies. - Managing Local Government Requirements: - Building and maintaining records of hundreds of local government jurisdictions. - Gathering data from various business units and ensuring timely execution of various legal reports and filings. - Stakeholder and Community Engagement: - Building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including state and local government officials. - Other duties as assigned: - Supporting processes related to internal collaboration, strategy development, leading advocacy activities, negotiations, addressing constituent concerns.
