What You Will Do Role - Complete state filing certifications and letters - Analyze insurance laws and regulations to provide guidance to clients - Draft insurance contracts - Draft insurance form revisions as needed to comply with state laws - Recommend objection responses for consultant’s review - Lead and/or participate in research projects specific to client’s need - Assemble and submit insurance product filings to state insurance departments - Monitor correspondence from states regarding filings and distribute as appropriate - Maintain filing status records - Prepare and send approved filings to clients Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree - 0-2 Years of Experience - Experience with MS Office (Word and Excel especially) and Adobe Acrobat - Strong work ethic and ability to work independently - Attention to detail and commitment to quality work - Excellent organizational skills - Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks, prioritizing and meeting deadlines - Strong written and verbal communication skills The Team Tampa Individual Life and Health Team is a practice within Milliman, Inc., one of the largest actuarial consulting firms in the world. Our team was established in 1998 and specializes in supplemental life and health products. We expanded our reach with the addition of several senior actuaries who have spent their entire careers focused on these supplemental health and life product lines. In 2013, we were excited to add compliance consulting expertise to our operations. Our dedicated team that specializes in corporate licensing and regulatory compliance, including Uniform Certificate of Authority Application (UCAA) filings, has become a driving element of the growing comprehensive services we offer to our clients. Our broad range of services include product development support, pricing, experience analysis, product re-rating, valuation, and appointed actuary work, as well as state filings, regulatory support, objection response, corporate licensing and annuity work. Team members work on a range of client projects of various sizes, and we employ a highly integrated project structure that encourages interaction across all members of the team from analysts to consultants to the Principals serving as the client leads. While most of our team’s time is spent working on projects developed within our local office, team members also have the chance to participate with certain assignments that are completed in partnership with other Milliman offices, and work with employees from other Milliman life and health practices. We believe that the compliance and actuarial skillsets have important applications across both our traditional work and our work in new and developing markets. Location The expected application deadline for this job is July 31, 2026. This role is based out of the Milliman office in Tampa, Florida, but candidates hired into this role could work remotely anywhere in the US. This position is open to in office, hybrid or remote working locations. Compensation The overall range for this role is $49,900 - $88,895. For candidates residing in: - Alaska, California, Connecticut, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York City, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Washington, or the District of Columbia the range is $57,385 - $88,895. - All other locations the range is $49,900 - $77,300.
