• Report to the Senior Manager, GIS Consulting and have responsibility for executing consulting engagements through the development of strategies and solutions for customers that increase revenue and shareholder value • Have incremental Grainger sales generation responsibility as it relates to facilities maintenance and cost savings methodologies / documentation • Assist customers with indirect materials supply chain consulting consisting of eCommerce strategy development, Grainger product / service solution assessment / strategy, technical integration and documented cost savings including baseline development • Identify opportunities to reduce costs related to procuring indirect materials while increasing sales through reduced operating expenses and improve cash management as related to MRO • Establish standards and drive ownership to guide continuous improvement in customer engagement, utilizing established frameworks and approved methodologies to ensure consistency and high-quality MRO solutions and deliverables • Lead & conduct customer discovery and data analysis across indirect materials, MRO, procurement, inventory, and operational processes to identify value creation opportunities within National Accounts, Government and Healthcare segments • Create clear value documentation to quantify cost savings, productivity gains, and operational impact for customers • Define, measure, and report value consistently across customer engagements to ensure governance and accountability • Execute consulting work with a strong focus on operational excellence, including disciplined project management and documentation rigor • Manage consulting engagements from scope definition through delivery, ensuring alignment to timelines, deliverables, and GCS expectations • Deliver MRO / Solution opportunity analytics, drive demand generation, and execute engagement strategies by collaborating with Grainger sales teams and internal stakeholders to develop MRO solutions that contribute to revenue growth • Drive customer change management business solutions and recommendations executing implementation project plans to accelerate the adoption and realization of documented value and solution integrations • Develop & execute MRO / Customer insights to drive continuous improvement for all customer deliverables and case studies for marketable use within Grainger

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • Master's Degree preferred
  • 5+ years eCommerce experience preferred
  • Experience delivering consulting, analytical, or operational improvement work in supply chain, procurement, operations, or indirect materials environments
  • Experience managing customer facing consulting projects with defined scopes, deliverables, and timelines through change management activities
  • Experience translating data into insights and producing clear, customer ready value documentation
  • Continuous improvement orientation to include value-based consulting supported by financial skills, leveraging data-driven analysis and compelling storytelling to drive results
  • Requires travel up to 70% of the time
