Analytics Manager, Credit Risk

The Credit team works cross-functionally with Machine Learning, Fraud, Product, Engineering, Capital Markets, and Commercial teams to responsibly manage the risk profile of the business. The team’s mandate is to enable sustainable growth while closely managing the profitability and resilience of our portfolio. As Affirm continues on an exciting growth trajectory, designing credit strategies for new initiatives and products, partnering with the Machine Learning team to continuously enhance our underwriting framework, and being ready to navigate through any exogenous changes will be important problems to tackle. This role requires a lot of cross-functional partnership, with extensive use of data analytics to derive insights and develop credit strategies. What you'll do - Partner with cross-functional teams and be the Credit POC that manages the end-to-end credit strategy for the Shopify portfolio - Leverage alternative data and further optimize our credit strategy in limit assignment and purchasing power - Partner with Machine Learning team and enhance our underwriting framework for low AOV - Support new product formation and new vertical exploration What we look for - Experience - 7+ years work experience in the credit risk field - Vision - A visionary leader who can challenge the status-quo and identify opportunities, as well as develop the roadmap and strategy plan - Risk Knowledge - Working knowledge of the fundamentals of the lending industry and credit risk management - Technical Skills - Fluent in SQL and Python - Multi-tasking - Strong time management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment - Collaboration - Ability to collaborate and influence across different teams - Communication - Ability to communicate findings and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences Pay Grade - O Equity Grade - 12 Employees new to Affirm typically come in at the start of the pay range. Affirm focuses on providing a simple and transparent pay structure which is based on a variety of factors, including location, experience and job-related skills. Base pay is part of a total compensation package that may include equity rewards, monthly stipends for health, wellness and tech spending, and benefits (including 100% subsidized medical coverage, dental and vision for you and your dependents.) USA base pay range (CA, WA, NY, NJ, CT) per year: $215,000-265,000 USA base pay range (all other U.S. states) per year: $191,000 - 241,000 #LI-Remote Affirm is proud to be a remote-first company!
