We are disruptors of the industry and we want you to join us on our journey. Our network of brands include ACV Auctions, ACV Transportation, ClearCar, MAX Digital and ACV Capital within its Marketplace Products, as well as, True360 and Data Services. At ACV we focus on the Health, Physical, Financial, Social and Emotional Wellness of our Teammates and, to support this, we offer: - Multiple medical plans including a high deductible, low cost health plan - Company-sponsored (paid) Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, and Life Insurance - Comprehensive optional benefits such as Dental, Vision, Supplemental Life/AD&D, Legal/ID Protection, and Accident and Critical Illness Insurance - Generous paid time off options, including uncapped vacation days, the greater of 3 paid sick days or in accordance with the applicable state or local paid sick leave law, 6 paid company holidays, 2 floating holidays, parental leave, bereavement leave, jury duty leave, voting leave, and other forms of paid leave as required by applicable law or regulation - Employee Stock Purchase Program with additional opportunities to earn stock in the Company - Retirement planning through the Company’s 401(k) The Role We are looking for a Staff Software Engineer who would thrive on being accountable for our Search infrastructure: its scalability, reliability, and data resiliency. We don't just need someone who knows how to write a complex query; we need a battle-scarred Distributed Systems expert who understands the deep internals of Elasticsearch and who has a deep toolbox for analyzing, monitoring, alerting, and quickly resolving critical issues as they arise. You know exactly how Elasticsearch fails, why it fails under load, and how to architect a topology that prevents it. Because our search ecosystem doesn’t exist in a vacuum, you will also own the architectural connective tissue—ensuring our service layers and event-based ecosystem interact with Search flawlessly. As a Staff Engineer, you will set the technical standard, drive systemic reliability, and mentor senior engineers across the organization. What You Will Do - Architect for Scale: Design, configure, and scale our Elasticsearch clusters. You will define our global strategies for shard routing, Index Lifecycle Management (ILM), heap tuning, and data tiering to support massive auction throughput. - Master the Failure Modes: Anticipate and engineer away points of failure. You will design circuit breakers, implement backpressure mechanisms, and tune asymmetric timeouts to prevent retry storms between our BFFs, K8s services, and the Search layer. - Expert Troubleshooting & IR: Act as the ultimate technical escalation point for complex, cross-system performance degradation. You will dive deep into JVM metrics, Garbage Collection pauses, K8s network bottlenecks, and slow logs to uncover and remediate root causes. - Holistic System Ownership: Manage the entire data lifecycle. You will optimize the ingestion pipelines syncing our event datastreams driven by producers and consumers (Kafka) to Elasticsearch, ensuring eventual consistency and data integrity at scale. - Drive Engineering Excellence: Draft authoritative architectural Blueprints, SOPs, and Runbooks. You will elevate the surrounding engineering culture by coaching teams on distributed systems design, observability best practices, and incident management. - Modernize & Innovate: Scan the horizon for emerging technologies. You will help evaluate and integrate next-generation search capabilities (e.g., Vector Search, RAG architectures) to support our broader AI and machine learning initiatives. What You Bring (Requirements) - Experience: 8+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 3+ years operating at a Senior or Staff level focusing on distributed systems and high-throughput platforms. - Elasticsearch Mastery: Deep, authoritative knowledge of Elasticsearch internals. You have managed large-scale clusters and deeply understand mapping, analysis, query optimization, cluster state management, and split-brain mitigation. - Full-Stack Context: Proficiency in the systems upstream and downstream of Search. You have hands-on experience with Kubernetes (EKS/GKE), API Gateway/BFF architectures, and event streams (Kafka). - Resilience Engineering: A proven track record of implementing fault-tolerant patterns (retries, rate limiting, circuit breaking, dead letter queues) in microservice architectures. - Observability: Expert-level ability to instrument systems and diagnose complex performance issues using modern observability stacks (Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry). - Leadership: Strong communication skills with a proven ability to influence cross-functional teams, build consensus around architectural decisions (the Knoster model!), and mentor mid-level and senior engineers. Bonus Points - Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Helm) for stateful applications. - Familiarity with FinOps practices, specifically optimizing Elasticsearch compute and storage costs. - Experience integrating AI-assisted development tools into your daily workflow. #LI-AM3 Our Values Trust & Transparency | People First | Positive Experiences | Calm Persistence | Never Settling At ACV, we are committed to an inclusive culture in which every individual is welcomed and empowered to celebrate their true selves. People Systems & Automation Lead
Lucidya | لوسيدياThe leading Customer Experience Management platform geared towards Arab.
About Lucidya Lucidya is an AI-native platform for customer experience (CX) intelligence that manages entire customer lifecycles autonomously, from initial engagement through retention and growth. Unlike platforms that only surface insights and leave the action to you, Lucidya completes the loop with proprietary NLU capabilities developed entirely in-house and trained on millions of multilingual conversations, equipping marketing, support, CX, and research teams to deliver personalized experiences that drive measurable improvements in customer satisfaction, retention, and lifetime value. Why this role matters Our People team is growing fast, and so is the complexity behind it, more hires, more contracts, more government portals, more payroll dependencies, and more systems that need to “just work” together. Right now, a lot of our HR operations still rely on manual tracking, spreadsheets, and fragmented system processes. That works at a small scale, but it becomes a risk (and a bottleneck) as we grow. This role exists to fix that. You will own the systems, automation, and data cleanliness across our People stack - making sure onboarding, payroll, contracts, and employee data flow smoothly across tools like ZenHR and other internal platforms. More importantly, you’ll turn messy processes into structured, scalable systems that reduce human error and free the team to focus on people, not admin work. What You’ll Do You won’t just “manage HR systems” - you’ll build the backbone of how People operations run at Lucidya. You will: - Own and improve our core HR systems (e.g. ZenHR and related government portals), ensuring they are accurate, clean, and always up to date - Drive automation across People operations, reducing manual work in contracts, onboarding, payroll inputs, and employee records - Make sure onboarding is seamless end-to-end, from contract creation to system access and first-day readiness - Work closely with People Ops, HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, and Finance to ensure data consistency across all workflows - Monitor payroll inputs and flag inconsistencies early, especially around compensation structures and benefits configurations - Maintain and improve government portal processes to ensure compliance and accuracy for employee documentation - Own data integrity across all HR systems (no duplicate records, no broken workflows, no “we’ll fix it later” data debt) - Build and maintain simple documentation and user guides so the wider People team can confidently use the systems - Continuously identify gaps in workflows and propose better, faster, more scalable ways of working - Support reporting needs by ensuring systems can reliably produce accurate HR and People metrics What Success Looks Like (KPIs) In your role, success is measured by how “invisible” problems become. You’ll be successful when: - Onboarding is consistently smooth, with contracts and system access ready before employees join - Payroll errors linked to system data are reduced to near zero - HR systems are consistently accurate, with minimal manual corrections required - Government portal processes are clean, up to date, and compliant at all times - People Ops and HRBPs rely on systems data without needing manual validation - Automation replaces manual spreadsheet-driven processes wherever possible - Internal stakeholders report high confidence in HR data quality - System-related issues are identified and resolved quickly with minimal escalation
