Job Description

Integration Engineer II

Ob Hospitalist Group

• Design, build, test, and deploy HL7 and API-based interfaces within an interface engine (e.g., HealthConnect) • Translate business and technical requirements into interface specifications, data mappings, and test plans • Perform GAP analysis to improve workflows, efficiency, and data quality • Lead and support system integration testing (SIT) and user acceptance testing (UAT) • Troubleshoot interface issues, identify root causes, and implement solutions • Monitor production interfaces to ensure data integrity and system reliability • Collaborate with hospital IT teams, vendors, and internal stakeholders • Support go-lives, upgrades, and enhancements through validation and change management • Maintain detailed documentation for builds, mappings, and support procedures • Provide advanced support and communicate technical concepts clearly to stakeholders • Contribute to continuous improvement and integration standards initiatives

Job Requirements

  • 4–6 years of experience in healthcare integration, interface development, or related field
  • Strong knowledge of HL7 message types (ADT, ORM, ORU, MDM)
  • Hands-on experience with an interface engine and troubleshooting/debugging techniques
  • Experience integrating with major hospital EMRs such as Epic, Cerner, or Meditech
  • Proven ability to analyze workflows, map data, and validate end-to-end integrations
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
