Senior Manager, Global Payroll
Docusign
• Lead global payroll operations, ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for employees across multiple regions • Ensure compliance with local, regional, and international payroll regulations, tax laws, and labor laws • Drive the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of standardized global payroll processes, policies, and controls • Manage the global payroll team, providing leadership, mentorship, and support to regional payroll managers • Collaborate with HR, finance, tax, legal, and external payroll vendors to align payroll operations with business goals • Oversee payroll system implementations, upgrades, and integrations, ensuring successful deployment and minimal disruption to payroll activities • Identify and resolve payroll discrepancies proactively, ensuring timely resolution of employee inquiries and escalations • Develop, track, and report key payroll performance metrics and KPIs to senior leadership • Lead year-end payroll activities, including tax filings, audits, and compliance reviews • Partner with internal audit teams to conduct regular payroll audits and ensure payroll accuracy and compliance • Manage vendor relationships, ensuring high-quality service delivery and exploring opportunities for vendor consolidation or outsourcing where applicable • Stay updated on global payroll trends, laws, and best practices, advising leadership on potential risks and opportunities • Provide strategic direction for payroll-related initiatives to support business growth and improve service delivery
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field
- 8+ years of experience in payroll operations, with at least 5 years in a global payroll leadership role
- Experience working with global payroll systems (ADP, Workday, SAP, Oracle, etc.)
- Experience with managing payroll compliance for large multinational organizations
- Experience with Excel and Google Workspace
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or equivalent certification (preferred)
- Extensive experience in global payroll management, with a proven track record in handling multi-country payroll operations
- In-depth knowledge of international payroll compliance, regulations, and tax laws
- Experience leading payroll system implementations, integrations, and upgrades, with strong project management skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze payroll data and make data-driven decisions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and senior leadership
- Experience managing vendor relationships, including third-party payroll providers and consultants
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with the highest level of discretion
- Strong understanding of payroll technology, including platforms such as ADP, Workday, SAP, or Oracle
