Senior MuleSoft Data Migration Practitioner

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather integration and data migration requirements. • Design and implement integration and data migration solutions aligned with business requirements. • Develop custom APIs, connectors, and transformation logic using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform. • Design and implement ETL workflows and migration frameworks. • Prepare and maintain detailed implementation documentation including integration points, configuration details, and migration artifacts. • Troubleshoot and resolve issues to ensure high availability and performance. • Participate in design discussions and contribute to architecture decisions. • Ensure all solutions adhere to security, compliance, and performance standards.

Job Requirements

  • 10–15 years of overall IT experience in MuleSoft, Data Migration, and Data Warehouse implementations.
  • MuleSoft certification(s), such as MuleSoft Certified Developer – Level 1 or 2, or MuleSoft Certified Platform/Integration Architect (highly preferred).
  • Extensive hands-on experience with MuleSoft Anypoint Platform including Mule ESB, Anypoint Studio, Anypoint Manager, Anypoint Connectors, and Anypoint Runtime.
  • Strong experience in designing and architecting end-to-end integration solutions using API-led connectivity, message routing, mediation, and data transformation.
  • Proven experience handling full lifecycle data migration activities including mapping, cleansing, validation, and transformation from legacy systems to new systems.
  • Experience in developing and maintaining Source-to-Target Mapping (STM) documents.
  • Extensive experience in developing ETL processes including ETL control tables, auditing, error logging, data quality validations, workflow design, parameterization, and reusability.
  • Strong experience optimizing MuleSoft applications using DataWeave for complex data transformations.
  • Experience configuring and deploying MuleSoft applications in on-premises and cloud environments ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
  • Experience implementing API security measures including OAuth, JWT, SSL, and other authentication mechanisms.
  • Experience building and consuming REST and SOAP web services.
  • Experience designing, developing, securing, and managing APIs via API Gateways and proxies.
  • Experience handling batch processing and large file integrations including Flat Files, JSON, EDI, XML, and CSV files.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve integration and migration issues.
  • Experience conducting unit testing, integration testing, data validation testing, and performance testing.
  • Experience reviewing code and providing constructive feedback to ensure best practice adherence.
  • Strong collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams including developers, architects, testers, business analysts, and stakeholders.
  • Experience working in Agile methodologies.

This is a full-time individual contributor role (remote with occasional travel to New Orleans) that influences enterprise data strategy through governance, stewardship, and enablement.This position can be remote What you will do - Serve as the primary operational and technical owner for the Enterprise Data Catalog and lead its evolution, managing ongoing platform curation, metadata ingestion schedules, updates, and quality control. - Support the implementation of roadmap for the catalog, including milestone planning, new feature evaluation, upgrades, and coordination of technical needs with IT and platform vendors. - Oversee the development and maintenance of the Business Glossary, including research, stakeholder review, and governance through the Executive Steering Council. - Create and support a process for certification of data and analytics assets - Promote adoption and engagement through user enablement initiatives, such as training materials, webinars, workshops, and one-on-one support for business and analytics users. - Create and maintain reports using Alation Analytics (or similar tools) to measure catalog usage, engagement, and content completeness. - Implement governance frameworks for data asset categorization and access management to improve discoverability, reuse, and compliance. - Partner with Data Management teams to establish data quality metrics, measurement processes, and improvement plans. - Support and enable data stewardship, developing communities of practice and guidance for stewards across departments. - Lead periodic governance and access audits to ensure proper data use, compliance, and portfolio optimization. - Measure and communicate program effectiveness, providing regular updates and recommendations to executive stakeholders. - Publish a monthly Data Governance newsletter summarizing decisions, progress, and upcoming initiatives.
