About the role We are looking for a detail-oriented, hands-on CPA to support and elevate our finance function in a part-time capacity. You will play a critical role in connecting accounting, audit, and RCM, ensuring our financial operations are accurate, compliant, and scalable. What you'll do - Accounting & Financial Operations - Maintain accurate financial records, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close support. - Ensure compliance with GAAP and healthcare-specific financial requirements. - Support preparation of financial statements and internal reporting. - Reconcile revenue streams and ensure alignment between billing systems and financial records. Qualifications - Active or inactive CPA license required. - 4–8+ years of accounting experience, with a mix of audit/assurance and operational accounting. - Experience working with multi-entity healthcare providers (e.g., clinics, telehealth, MSOs, or similar) strongly preferred. - Strong understanding of Revenue Cycle Management (RCM), including billing, collections, and reimbursement processes. - Experience supporting or leading audit preparation and working with external auditors. - Proficiency with accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks), Excel/Google Sheets, and AI assisted workflows (Claude/Gemini). - High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to work independently. - Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving startup environment.

• Bank reconciliations: perform daily and/or periodic reconciliations of bank accounts, identify discrepancies, and support investigations into their causes; • Tax reconciliations and fiscal processes: support tax reconciliations and ancillary tax obligations. The Director of Accounting is a key part of that foundation. Position Summary The Director of Accounting will serve as Pine Services Group's in-house technical accounting authority, responsible for designing the controls, policies, and frameworks that allow our portfolio companies to operate with financial rigor at scale. This is a newly created, highly visible role reporting directly to the CFO.
