Contract Type: Fixed-Term Contract - 1099 basis Duration: 6 months Start Date: 20 April 2025 — immediate availability required Location: East coast USA Travel: EMEA coordination required; some site visits likely We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to support a programme of new retail store openings on a fixed-term basis. The successful candidate will take end-to-end ownership of technology delivery across multiple concurrent site launches — working with internal stakeholders, third-party vendors, and on-site teams to ensure each opening is delivered on time and to specification. This is a fast-moving, hands-on role. The right person will be comfortable operating at pace, managing competing priorities, and keeping complex delivery programmes on track. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES - Own and drive project plans for new store technology deployments from pre-build through to go-live - Manage stakeholder communication across internal teams, contractors, and suppliers - Coordinate delivery of network infrastructure, retail technology (POS/EPOS), and AV systems across each site - Identify and manage risks, dependencies, and issues; escalate appropriately - Produce clear, timely project reporting for senior stakeholders - Liaise across EMEA time zones to maintain programme momentum ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS - Demonstrable project management experience, ideally with a recognised methodology (PRINCE2, PMP, or equivalent) - Proven track record delivering technology projects in a retail environment - New store openings experience is a strong advantage - Practical knowledge of network infrastructure, retail technology, and AV systems - Immediately available or able to start by 20 April 2025 - East coast based preferred to support EMEA coordination windows - Strong communicator — able to manage multiple workstreams and diverse stakeholder groups simultaneously ABOUT US: A&O IT Group is an award-winning, fast-growth, global IT services and cyber security consultancy operating in over 130 countries. About the role Verndale is looking for a Project Manager passionate about delivering world-class interactive experiences. You will serve as the primary liaison between clients and internal teams, driving plans that deliver great work and real value, while also contributing as a digital consultant.
