Role Description As we continue to enhance and modernize our portfolio, we are seeking a Junior Architect to support renovation design, unit upgrades, and property improvement projects. - Assist in designing renovation plans for occupied and vacant residential units (apartments, multi-family, and single-family homes). - Produce detailed construction drawings, layouts, and as-built documentation for property upgrades and maintenance projects. - Collaborate with property managers and maintenance teams to develop cost-effective, tenant-friendly design solutions. - Create 3D models and visualizations to support renovation planning and owner decision-making. - Support coordination with contractors, vendors, and inspectors to ensure timely execution of renovation work. - Evaluate existing properties and recommend value-add improvements that enhance rental appeal and long-term asset performance. - Ensure all designs comply with local building codes, safety regulations, and budget constraints. - Assist in standardizing design packages for repeatable upgrades across multiple units (e.g., kitchens, bathrooms, flooring). Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or related field - Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or similar design tools - Understanding of residential construction, renovations, and building systems - Strong attention to detail, especially in existing-condition documentation and retrofit design - Ability to balance design quality with cost-efficiency and operational constraints - Strong collaboration skills in a cross-functional environment (property managers, maintenance, vendors) Company Description Epic Property Management is a full-service residential property management company specializing in single- and multi-family rental properties across Southeast Michigan.
