Project Engineer

• Prepare, review, and process electrical submittals, review drawings, and product data for compliance, clarification, deviation, and expectation (CDE) with project specifications. • Support technical coordination with factory, vendors and contractors to obtain timely and accurate submittal documentation. • Analyze and interpret electrical MV/LV single-line diagrams, specifications, and contracts. • Develop and present complete electrical solutions including switchgear (SWGR), switchboards (SWB), panelboards (PLB), MCCs, UPS, PDUs, and STSs, complete SLD take-off. • Support the development of electrical and mechanical system designs including power distribution, power protection, power control, grounding, and power automation systems. • Collaborate with other disciplines (mechanical, civil, structural) to ensure integrated design solutions. • Provide field support during installation and pre-commissioning phases. • Conduct inspections to verify compliance with approved designs and specifications. • Ensure all engineering documentation is complete, accurate, and properly archived. • Support the preparation of as-built drawings and operation & maintenance manuals. • Ensure compliance with safety standards and environmental regulations.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or 10 to 12 years equivalent experience.
- 5–7 years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on mission-critical environments.
- Proficiency in engineering tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience in critical power industries and large-scale infrastructure projects.
- Expertise with MV/LV systems, critical power solution, power protection, power control, grounding, battery backup, automation control, and instrumentation
- Knowledge of sustainable practices and energy efficiency standards.
- Travel required 30-50%.
- Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
