Responsibilities As a BDA Aircraft Maintenance Engineer, you and your team will be responsible for the maintenance, modification, servicing, and troubleshooting of C-17A aircraft systems, whilst ensuring compliance with regulations and mentorship of subordinate technicians. Experience/Qualifications - (Essential) - Certificate IV in Aeroskills (Avionics) - Demonstrate an understanding of aircraft maintenance procedures and regulations. - Applicants must be an Australian Citizen to be able to possess an Australian NV1 Defence security clearance or the ability to obtain. - Hold a C class driver's license. - Possess excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise with various stakeholders. Experience/Qualifications - (Desirable) - Previous experience working with Military aircraft. - Hold CASA or DASA Maintenance License or the ability to obtain. - Be able to demonstrate a good knowledge of Environmental, Health and Safety procedures. - Have a working knowledge of computer-based maintenance management systems. POSITION SUMMARY: The Data Protection Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and operating technical controls that safeguard sensitive data across the enterprise. The incumbent focuses on data discovery, classification, and governance, ensuring that sensitive information is accurately identified, labeled, protected, and handled in accordance with regulatory, legal, and business requirements. The Data Protection Engineer partners closely with Information Technology, Security Operations, Privacy, Compliance, and data owners to enforce risk‑based controls, reduce data exposure, and enable secure use of data across on‑premises, cloud, and SaaS environments. Through automation, policy tuning, and continuous monitoring, the incumbent helps maintain visibility into data flows, prevents data loss, sensitive data overexposures, and supports a scalable, auditable data governance program. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES: - Lead the execution of enterprise‑wide data discovery & classification for both unstructured data (files, email, collaboration platforms, endpoints, SaaS) and structured data (databases, data warehouses, analytics and AI platforms). - Lead data protection controls for Generative AI platforms (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, enterprise chat, custom LLM solutions) to prevent unintended data disclosure and misuse. - Implement safeguards to ensure only appropriately classified and authorized data is available for AI prompts, responses, training, or retrieval‑augmented generation (RAG). - Identify and mitigate data overexposure risks, including: excessive permissions and oversharing in collaboration platforms, public or broadly accessible cloud storage, file servers and databases, sensitive data leakage through prompts or outputs, autonomous or agentic workflows acting beyond approved scope, and shadow AI and unsanctioned model usage - Support data lifecycle governance, including retention, archival, legal hold, and secure disposal for both human and AI‑accessible data. - Drafts configuration manuals, operating procedures, reports, and system hardening guidelines. - Provides guidance in the application and reporting of data protection technology performance metrics. - Establish and maintain continuous data mapping and inventory to understand where sensitive data resides, how it is accessed, and how it flows across systems and integrations. - Partner with cross-functional teams—including IT, Compliance, HR, and Legal—to ensure adherence to data protection standards. - Performs other job-related duties as assigned or apparent. QUALIFICATIONS: - Experience designing and operating enterprise data discovery & classification programs across both unstructured data (files, email, collaboration platforms, endpoints) and structured data (databases, data warehouses, analytics platforms). - Practical experience identifying and remediating data overexposure, such as: excessive permissions and oversharing in collaboration platforms, public or broadly accessible cloud storage and databases, and stale, orphaned, or business‑unused sensitive data - Hands‑on expertise with data classification and labeling technologies, including rule‑based, pattern‑based, and machine‑learning–driven classification for sensitive data types. - Awareness of AI‑related risks (e.g., data leakage in prompts, model training exposure, shadow AI usage) and the ability to help enforce safeguards and acceptable use standards. - Familiarity with Data Security Posture Management (DSPM) or data access governance tools (e.g., Varonis, BigID, OneTrust, Microsoft Purview, Symmetry, Wiz, Lacework, or similar). - Experience reducing data risk through policy automation, bulk remediation workflows, and continuous monitoring. - Knowledge of data lifecycle management, including retention, archival, legal hold, and secure disposal practices. - Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, GSEC, Security+ or equivalent are highly desirable. - Exposure to privacy engineering concepts, including data minimization, purpose limitation, and least‑privilege access. - Strong understanding of industry frameworks such as CIS and NIST. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Job Description The Role: The Senior Signal Integrity Engineer at General Motors plays a crucial role in ensuring the performance and reliability of high-speed hardware designs within the ECU Electrical team. This position involves simulating HW designs, measurements in lab mitigating signal degradation issues, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and optimizing design processes to support the development of next-generation automotive systems. The engineer will be responsible for product development activities, focusing on in-vehicle electronics and cutting-edge technologies. What You'll Do: - Perform signal integrity (SI) simulations using tools such as HyperLynx, HFSS, or CST - Identify and resolve issues related to crosstalk, signal loss, reflections, and other performance degradations in high-speed designs. - Analyze PCB layout designs to ensure optimal signal performance, providing feedback and recommendations to layout and hardware design teams. - Collaborate with hardware engineers to optimize high-speed signal paths, ensuring adherence to specifications for interfaces like DDR5, PCIe, USB4, SerDes, and Ethernet. - Evaluate and validate signal integrity for power delivery networks (PDN) to minimize noise, ground bounce, and power/ground integrity issues. - Work closely with PCB layout, hardware, and mechanical teams to ensure design choices align with signal integrity best practices. - Develop and implement test strategies for verifying signal integrity on prototypes and final products using tools like oscilloscopes, vector network analyzers (VNA), and time domain reflectometry (TDR). - Create and maintain signal integrity design guidelines, best practices, and checklists to support hardware engineers throughout the product development lifecycle. - Diagnose and resolve SI issues during the bring-up phase of new products, ensuring minimal impact on time-to-market. What You'll Need: - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field. - 5+ years of experience in signal integrity and related areas in hardware engineering with hands on experience on LPDDR5, PCIe, USB4, SerDes and Ethernet protocols. - Strong understanding of high-speed signal transmission principles, including impedance, crosstalk, noise, and signal attenuation. - Proficiency in SI analysis tools such as Ansys HFSS, SIWave, CST or similar industry-standard software. - Hands-on experience with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, VNAs, TDRs, and protocol analyzers. - Ability to contribute to process improvements and the development of new methodologies for signal integrity analysis.
