Responsibilities: - Develops and provides students with an approved DeVry University syllabus that follows a template established by the local campus, and which includes the terminal course objectives. - Organizes, prepares, and regularly revises and update all course materials. - Uses appropriate technological options for online technologies and course-related software, including Websites, e-mail, and online discussions for preparing the course and making it accessible to students. - Models effective oral and written communications that engage the students, provide clarity, and improve student learning. - Sets clear expectations for the course by publishing course terminal objectives, assignment/examinations dates, and weight the distribution of various evaluation categories. - Ensures that the content and level of material included on exams correspond to the course terminal objectives. - Demonstrates consistency and fairness in the preparation and grading of exams, and provide timely feedback to students. - Completes other duties as assigned. In addition, DeVry University does not guarantee any specific number of work hours or assignments, which may vary based on the University’s needs and discretion. - Pay may vary in most states from $1500-$2700 per 8-week session - Pay in the states of AZ, CA, IN and PA is paid at an hourly rate of either $22.00/hour or $23.50/hour For Visiting Professor roles, we accept applications on an ongoing basis. Responsibilities - Oversee and “own” multiple development projects, with direct responsibility for project level development plans, budgets and schedules - Make recommendations regarding sequencing of development activities across stage gates, and consistently track risks and mitigants - Partner with the Engineering team in managing third-party environmental and engineering consultants - Spearhead discretionary permitting including land use and zoning approvals (e.g., Conditional Use Permits, Special Use Permits), as well as applicable state or federal approvals as may be necessary - Negotiate PILOTs or similar tax abatement agreements with local or county officials - Collaborate with the Project Delivery team to ensure seamless transition of projects from development to construction - Maintain a strong understanding of the regulatory and policy environments in project markets - Support due diligence processes for project acquisition opportunities - Provide regular project reporting to senior leadership and stakeholders.
