Job Description

Forward Deployed Solutions Engineer

Hyperscience

About our Company At Hyperscience, we believe that behind every document is a meaningful human experience, whether that’s a family applying for their mortgage, a patient waiting for insurance coverage, or a student waiting for their visa to study abroad. However, for far too long, organizations have relied on outdated technology and manual processes to handle these processes, driving up costs, slowing down decisions, and frustrating customers. As a distinguished leader in its market category, including a Leader in the 2025 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Intelligent Document Processing Solutions and several other leading industry analyst reports, our technology flips the script with an AI platform that reads, understands, and processes documents at massive scale—automatically. The Hyperscience Hypercell platform unlocks the value of an organization’s back office data through the automation of end-to-end processes, and transforms complex documents into LLM and RAG-ready data to power new enterprise GenAI experiences. This enables organizations to transform manual, siloed processes into a strategic advantage, resulting in a faster path to decisions, actions, and revenue; positive and engaging customer, public, and patient experiences; and dramatic increases in productivity. Leading organizations including American Express, Charles Schwab, HM Revenue and Customs, Mars, Stryker, The United States Social Security Administration, The United States Department of Veterans Affairs, and several others use the Hypercell platform to achieve a faster path to decisions, dramatic increases in productivity, and unparalleled business impact. Hyperscience is funded by top tier investors including Bessemer Venture Partners, Battery, FirstMark, Stripes, and Tiger Global. About the Role: This is a critical hybrid role that embeds a deep engineering and outcome oriented mindset directly into the sales process. You will serve as the core technical resource responsible for ensuring Hyperscience's Intelligent Document Processing (IDP) solutions are not only sold, but designed, prototyped, and successfully deployed with measurable organizational outcomes, supporting customers both pre- and post-sale. Key Responsibilities: - Solution Alignment, Deployment & Continuous Outcome Management: Lead the technical lifecycle from discovery through initial production deployment, ensuring solution designs transition into successful implementations with clear, measurable technical outcomes. - Hands-on Customization & Code: Write, prototype, and refine solution logic (e.g., custom Python code, API integrations, workflow configurations) during the Proof of Concept (POC) and initial deployment phases. - Technical Strategy & Deal Acceleration: Act as the technical owner in sales cycles, architecting the end-to-end solution and handling technical objections, while identifying and grooming internal change agents into champions who advocate for Hyperscience across their organization. - Post-Sale Technical Partnership: Collaborate with the Solution Architect to drive the initial forward-deployed engagement, fine-tune models on customer data, and document the final solution for seamless handoff and optimization. - Risk & Scoping Management: Define and document the precise technical scope, compute resourcing, TCO (Total Cost of Ownership), and integration strategy to mitigate deployment risk for enterprise customers. - Product Feedback Loop: Actively gather and synthesize critical product feedback and emerging field intelligence, serving as the voice of the customer to internal Product and Core Engineering teams. Required Qualifications: - Hands-on Engineering & Code Proficiency: 5+ years of experience in a customer-facing engineering role, with proven proficiency in Python and developing/debugging code for enterprise applications. - Cloud Architecture & Deployments: Strong comprehension of modern cloud architecture (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerized deployment patterns (Docker/Kubernetes). - Technical Education & Acumen: BSc in a technical field (Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science) or equivalent hands-on engineering background. - Consultative & Technical Communication: Proven ability to translate complex technology concepts (IDP, AI) into clear business value for executive, technical, and non-technical stakeholders. Bonus Qualifications: - Forward Deployed/Post-Sale Experience: Direct experience in a role that included post-sale implementation, integration, or optimization of SaaS or AI software in customer environments. - IDP/Automation Domain: Prior experience with Intelligent Document Processing (IDP), RPA, OCR, ML or document management technologies. - Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Familiarity with infrastructure automation tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation) for managing cloud resources. - Enterprise Integration: Background in scoping, designing, or implementing complex enterprise integrations (APIs, web services, database connectivity). Company Values & Perks: Hyperscience is a people-first company, committed to empowering our team to make a tangible impact. Our core values, including "Innovation that Transforms," "Lead with Trust," and a "Win Together" ethos, guide our collaborative culture. As a global organization, our benefits vary by region, but we are united by a fundamental belief in work-life flexibility. We support our team with flexible PTO and work-from-home options, recognizing the importance of a healthy balance between professional and personal life. Benefits: - Health & Wellness: Company-covered Healthcare Coverage plans for you and your family, including HSA, PPO, Vision, Dental and Mental Health Wellness plans. - Retirement & Financial: 401(k) through Empower with company match up to 6% of your annual salary. - Paid Time Off (PTO): Flexible-use PTO, unaccrued and uncapped, subject to manager approval. - Parental Leave: 12 weeks of paid parental leave, with an additional 4 weeks paid for birthing parents. - Equity: Opportunity to own Stock Options in the company.
