Sr. Business Ops Specialist needed by o9 Solutions, Inc. in Dallas, TX [and various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S.; may telecommute] to Perform end-to-end solution design, configuration, implementation, data analytics, testing of solution, and communication with internal and external stakeholders (9%). Participate in process and business requirements sessions with client and document to be business process leveraging industry best practices (9%). Work with clients to identify and collect data, including historical sales, shipment, inventory, logistics, and other operations/supply chain data from sources like databases, Excel sheets, and emails (4%). Convert business logic into technical platform designs using knowledge of platform infrastructure (6%). Develop clear functional and technical designs, document data requirements, and build complex datasets (6%). Configure a technical specification document and tool configuration in the o9 platform, as per the design, to solve deep operations/supply chain problems and institute rigorous performance monitoring systems (6%). Use mathematical models, predictive methods, statistical techniques, optimization algorithms and simulations to analyze, manipulate and interpret large enterprise data and provide business insights and data visualization to the client management (2%). Utilize statistical and optimization tools and programming languages to conduct data integration through extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) (2%). Create models to generate time series forecasts and operational plans (2%). Resolve solution gaps and deploy fixes in the customer environment (2%). Create and execute workflow and data analytics test-cases, document issues, and track progress at resolving issues (3%). Design and implement testing protocols with the end goal of automating testing (4%). Work with clients, cross-functional teams, and IT and business stakeholders, to ensure the successful planning and execution of projects (6%). Plan, develop, and deliver Super User and End User training for a global user base (3%). Mentor junior analysts to familiarize them with technical and business aspects of projects (3%). Implement supply chain planning solutions and working in the supply chain/logistics organization including demand planning, supply planning, multi-echelon inventory optimization (MEIO), and financial planning (3%). Lead a team through the full lifecycle of a supply chain planning solution implementation, including business requirement gathering, solution design and development, UAT/SIT, go-live/cutover and value realization (6%). Assist Solution Architects to track deliverables, manage scope creep, coordinate among different workstreams, and ensure that post go-live support drives measurable benefits for the client (6%). Use Agile methodology to deliver large scale enterprise implementations and participate in sprint planning, retrospectives, story writing, backlog grooming, and cross-functional syncs using Agile tools such as Jira (2%). Utilize Statistical, Optimization and Simulation skills through software tools and packages like R, SAS, and CPLEX (2%). Use spreadsheets and software (Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets), document processing (Microsoft Word, Google Docs), and presentation (Microsoft PowerPoint) by involving advanced Excel modeling using pivot tables, lookups, Power Query, and dynamic charts to build business cases or analyze trends (2%). Identify key insights to prioritize and focus on the highest value opportunities or the biggest risks by presenting in executive dashboards or root cause reports to guide timely business interventions (6%). Create executive-level PowerPoint decks & solution Walkthroughs (2%). Lead knowledge-sharing sessions across teams and develop the best internal practice playbooks (2%). Provide strategic recommendations to client leadership on process improvements and digital transformation initiatives (2%). Minimum Requirements: Requires a Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent degree, in Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, or Engineering Management and at least two (2) years of experience in the job offered, or two (2) years of experience in a related occupation involving enterprise-level solution deployment, business process design, and analytical modeling in supply chain or operations domains; implementing supply chain planning solutions and working in the supply chain/logistics organization; hands-on experience with advanced planning systems (APS), demand and supply planning modules, or logistics optimization tools in real-world client environments; deep domain expertise in areas such as multi-echelon inventory optimization (MEIO), network design, or production planning, with a proven ability to translate client business objectives into scalable technology solutions; leading a team through the full lifecycle of a supply chain planning solution implementation, including business requirement gathering, solution design and development, UAT/SIT, go-live/cutover and value realization; guiding junior team members; collaborating with external stakeholders; maintaining project timelines; ensuring adoption through proper change management and post-implementation reviews; managing cross-functional project teams across different geographies, preparing stakeholder communication plans, and facilitating executive steering committee updates to ensure transparency and alignmen; using Agile methodology to deliver large scale enterprise implementations; familiarity with Agile ceremonies (scrum, sprint reviews, retrospectives), use of Agile tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence), and participation in iterative delivery cycles focused on user feedback and rapid value generation; utilizing Statistical, Optimization and Simulation skills through software tools and packages like R, SAS, and CPLEX; techniques like linear programming, Monte Carlo simulation, regression analysis, and sensitivity analysis to support decision-making in inventory and operations planning; using spreadsheets and software (Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets), document processing (Microsoft Word, Google Docs), and presentation (Microsoft PowerPoint) including the use of advanced spreadsheet features such as pivot tables, data validation, charting, macros, or Google Workspace collaboration tools for reporting, modeling, and business communication; developing dynamic financial or supply chain calculators and executive level business case templates to support strategic initiatives; training in databases (SQL Server, MySQL) and one or more languages, including SQL, MDX, T-SQL; writing and optimizing complex SQL queries, understanding relational data models, and manipulating large data volumes for reporting, integration, and troubleshooting purposes identifying key insights to prioritize and focus on the highest value opportunities or the biggest risks, converting raw data into actionable intelligence through dashboards, root cause analyses, and executive-ready summaries that support strategic planning; familiarity with software company operating models and product lifecycle workflows, including collaboration with cross-functional product, engineering, QA, and customer success teams.
