• Review, negotiate, and prepare comments on inbound contracts from acquirers, liquidity providers, and other external partners. • Own the legal relationship with third-party payment and financial institutions from a contractual standpoint. • Prepare and maintain Terms & Conditions for company products, websites, and applications. • Navigate European payment legislation (EMD2, PSD2, AML/CFT frameworks) and apply it to day-to-day legal tasks. • Support compliance with requirements from payment institutions and financial regulators. • Understand DORA and MiCA frameworks at a conceptual level; ability to go deeper as needed. • Act as a reliable second pair of eyes on legal matters handled by colleagues when needed (e.g. during absences). • Flag risks proactively and come with proposed solutions, not just problems.
Job Requirements
- 8+ years in legal roles within European financial institutions, payment companies, or banks.
- A degree in law from a reputable university.
- Strong grounding in European payment law and regulation — a must.
- Experience sitting at the intersection of legal and compliance/AML.
- Background in drafting and negotiating contracts with financial counterparties.
- Highly detail-oriented and self-sufficient — able to manage their scope independently with minimal oversight.
- Experience with crypto would be a sufficient plus.
- Fluency in English (written and verbal).
- Practical experience applying AI tools in daily workflows (beyond basic ChatGPT usage).

The Assistant Director, Digital Language Lab leads the integration of technology into teaching, learning, and/or research activities connected with foreign language programs. This role provides operational leadership for the integration of technology into teaching & learning, in support of the Stanford Language Center and works with faculty to integrate technology into Language courses, pedagogy, academic programming/events, and teaching & learning activities, including placement testing and language assessments In this role, you will: ● Provide departmental leadership for using technology in teaching, learning, community building and/or research. This attorney will interface with key stakeholders and work under the direction of senior members of the Litigation and EHS teams. The position will be based in Cincinnati, Ohio. The attorney will be responsible for working with the other attorneys and staff in the Office of General Counsel in providing litigation-related support and counsel to the business operations of Duke Energy Corporation and its subsidiaries (collectively, the Company). In addition, the attorney will be responsible for providing legal guidance on EHS issues across the Duke Energy enterprise. Although prior experience supporting administrative law matters is desired, it is not required. The role requires the candidate to (i) possess proficient oral and written communication skills and develop relationships with clients to ensure client communication and responsiveness, (ii) demonstrate responsiveness and teamwork within the Office of General Counsel, and (iii) develop knowledge of the Company and industry.
