ABOUT THE POSITION Sales Director will be responsible for their respective regional sales execution for all product lines within the Astec Materials Solutions Group, as defined. This position will also manage regional sales personnel and collaborate with all functional areas to promote our products through a multi-channel network. Location: Remote Key Deliverables ·Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve sales targets. ·Manage regional sales personnel. ·Monitor products of competitors. ·Deliver sales presentations to key clients. ·Evaluates sales team performance and areas of improvement. Key Activities & Responsibilities ·Manage regional sales personnel to grow market share and sales volume ·Establish annual sales goals for defined regions with respective Sales & Marketing team ·Provide potential sales activity within defined regions to ensure effective forecasting ·Provide guidance to group on market pricing ·Work with Sales & Marketing team to implement initiatives, as well as strategic goals within the Astec Materials Solutions Group. ·Manage and review effectiveness of field sales operations. Construct and implement any necessary operational changes ·Assist with onboarding and development of prospective distribution channels ·Evaluate distributors on their field sales performance and provide recommendations to support successful execution of established sales plan and growth strategies ·Delivers sales presentations to key clients in coordination with Regional Sales Managers. ·Stays current with technology affecting asphalt plant and road building industry. Monitors products of competitors. ·Participates in staff meetings and other meetings related to the company and department. ·Interacts with other Astec departments to ensure customer satisfaction. ·Analyzes and controls expenditures of domestic sales department to conform to budget requirements. ·Participates in advertising decisions and supervises the Advertising department. ·Prepares appropriate sales reports for management showing sales volume, customer information, potential sales, and other related reports to assist Astec. ·Adheres to and promotes company core values to all associates. Projects a positive company image by interacting with fellow associates, customers, and corporate management in a cooperative, supportive and courteous manner ·Serves as a member of committees and/or focus groups. ·Follows supports and enforces all company policies and safety rules. To be successful in this role, your experience and competencies are: ·Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is preferred or equivalent business experience ·A minimum of five years of career experience in sales management, including a minimum of three years in a leadership position is preferred ·Basic understanding of pricing theories, financial policies, budgeting, sales and marketing is required ·Excellent interpersonal communication, collaboration, negotiation, and leadership skills ·Ability to travel overnight and work long hours is required. Strong understanding of financial processes within the Office of the CFO, with treasury experience considered a plus. - Ability to drive sales independently and create strong relationships with clients. - Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. - Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. - Willingness to travel within the DACH region as required. - Fluent German and English is a must.
