Role Description We are seeking a highly experienced OpenText Extended ECM (xECM) for SAP Consultant / Architect with 10+ years of enterprise ECM and SAP integration experience to lead the design, configuration, and delivery of complex xECM implementations. This role requires deep hands-on expertise in SAP connectivity, Business Workspaces, Document declaration with the ability to guide architecture decisions and partner with business and IT stakeholders. Engagement Details: - Employment type: Temporary contract-1099 - Contract Duration: 6 months - Work Schedule: 75% (between 8-1 CST) - Work Location: Remote - Anticipated Start Date: Immediately Key Responsibilities: - Own end-to-end xECM for SAP solution architecture, ensuring scalability, performance, security, and compliance. - Define architectural standards for: - Business Workspace models and templates - Metadata, classification, and inheritance strategies - SAP-to-OpenText integration patterns - Design, develop, and optimize Workspace Property Providers to dynamically populate workspace properties based on SAP and Content Server data. - SAP workbench knowledge and ABAP programming and/or debugging. - Implement complex business rules for metadata derivation, validation, and formatting. - Ensure extensions are performant, resilient, and production-ready, with proper error handling, logging, and caching strategies. - Configure and setup SAP Connectivity for xECM authentication and SSO. - Collaborate with SAP Basis and Security teams to: - Define required authorizations and roles - Troubleshoot connectivity and performance issues - Lead the design and configuration of Business Workspaces, including: - Workspace types and templates - Folder structures, naming conventions, and security models - Automated workspace creation rules driven by SAP events and context - Ensure workspace lifecycle management aligns with business processes and governance requirements. - Define and implement enterprise metadata models mapped to SAP master and transactional data. - Ensure consistent classification, indexing, and searchability of workspaces and documents. - Lead technical delivery activities across Dev, QA, and Prod environments. - Support and oversee SIT, UAT, and cutover activities. - Provide post-go-live support and hypercare, including root-cause analysis and performance tuning. - Develop and maintain technical documentation, configuration guides, and operational runbooks. Qualifications - 10+ years of experience in xECM for SAP Solutions with ABAP Development. - Functional experience with at least one of the core SAP ERP / SAP S4/HANA modules (FI, MM, PP, SD or HCM). - Proven experience delivering multiple full lifecycle xECM implementations in enterprise environments. - OpenText certifications are a plus.

• Define the global OTC solution architecture (S/4HANA-centric), establish template standards (core, regional extensions), and run governance to maintain integrity, scalability, and alignment with commercial strategy. • Provide hands-on, expert guidance on ERP/SAP OTC configuration and integration patterns; review and approve design decisions across pricing, order management, delivery/shipping, invoicing, credit/collections, and revenue recognition. • Architect and oversee integrations across SAP and tangential platforms to enable a seamless end-to-end quote-to-cash flow, including pricing/chargebacks/rebates, tender management, e-commerce, EDI/3PL/WMS, and tax/compliance touchpoints as relevant. • Lead multi-country deployments of OTC templates in life sciences settings—owning fit/gap, localization, validation documentation (CSV/CSA), controls/SOX alignment, and change management for end user adoption. • Engage Finance (Revenue Accounting, Credit/FSCM), Supply Chain/Logistics, Commercial Operations, IT Security, Data & Integration teams to align processes, master data, and analytics; steward decisions through PMO, Steering Committees, and enterprise governance. • Own the OTC roadmap (upgrades, accelerators, regional rollouts, capability uplift); drive simplification, automation, and data quality improvements; monitor KPIs (cycle time, accuracy, exceptions) and champion best practices. • Lead a global, matrixed team of solution architects and analysts; manage consulting partners and product vendors; develop talent and foster a high-performance, inclusive culture.
