• Manage and grow business with both end users and distributor partners. • Consult with customers to provide metal cutting solutions tailored to their manufacturing needs. • Develop new business and maintain strong relationships with existing accounts. • Travel regularly throughout the territory (50-60%) to engage customers and partners. • Balance technical solution selling with territory planning, sales administration, and reporting.

Job Requirements

  • 5-7 years of successful technical, consultative sales experience in manufacturing or distribution environments.
  • Strong technical aptitude with proven experience in metal cutting or manufacturing solutions.
  • Ability to work independently in a home or virtual office environment.
  • Skilled in qualifying, demonstrating, and influencing customers.
  • Proactive, self-directed, and results-oriented with a solution-driven mindset.
  • Willingness to travel extensively in the region and surrounding areas.
  • Must live inside the geographic assigned territory.

Role Description As a Managed Services Solution Engineer, you will be focused on mid-market clients (typically 50-500 employees / ~$10-200M revenue). Job Responsibilities - Lead the end-to-end solution engineering and proposal lifecycle for mid-market opportunities: discovery, requirements gathering, solution architecture, cost modelling, implementation roadmap and proposal document creation. - Collaborate with sales account executives, partner/alliances teams and delivery leads to understand client business challenges, define value propositions, and align solutions accordingly. - Own and refine the services solution catalog for the mid-market: managed IT, cloud services, security & compliance, infrastructure, business applications, migrations, integrations, etc. - Develop reusable templates, architectures, reference designs, cost calculators, proposal frameworks and documentation libraries to drive efficiency, quality and consistency. - Maintain deep understanding of vendor ecosystems, technology trends, competitive landscape and mid-market buyer priorities.
