Lead Account Executive, Vertical

Custom Ink

• In this role, you'll own a named list of top accounts in your vertical, prospect and close new logos, and partner closely with our Customer Success and Marketing teams to deepen penetration in existing relationships. • You will be the industry expert for Custom Ink in an assigned industry with the freedom and accountability to build a multi-year, multi-million-dollar book of business. • Own the vertical – Act as the go-to industry expert and AE for a curated list of enterprise accounts nationwide • Prospect and expand – Identify new enterprise logos while expanding revenue within existing accounts through solution selling and multithreading • Shape the strategy – Translate vertical insights and market trends into meaningful actions that guide sales motions and campaign development • Collaborate cross-functionally – Work closely with Marketing to influence demand generation and ABM campaigns, and with Customer Success to ensure world-class onboarding and growth • Drive retention and expansion – Focus on long-term value, delivering repeat business, increased share of wallet, and deep customer loyalty • Advise and influence – Serve as a vertical voice across the company, sharing feedback, highlighting opportunities, and shaping go-to-market strategy

Job Requirements

  • Bring 5–10+ years of enterprise sales experience, ideally in a vertical-focused or named account model
  • Demonstrate success managing long sales cycles and navigating multifaceted decision-making structures
  • A consultative, customer-first mindset with strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Exceptionally skilled at prospecting, solution selling, multithreading, and building trusted relationships with executive-level buyers.
  • Comfortable with a high degree of autonomy and accountability — you own your vertical and are expected to think and act like a business owner.
  • Strategic and data-driven — you know how to use insights, tools, and collaboration to drive outcomes.
  • Show familiarity with or deep interest in your assigned industry vertical.
