As a Junior Data Analyst at J-Mack Technologies supporting the VA Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA), you will help transform complex datasets into actionable insights that improve outcomes for Veterans. This role is ideal for an early-career analyst with a strong foundation in statistics, programming, and data-driven problem solving who is eager to grow in a mission-focused environment. What You’ll Do - Analyze and prepare data needed for modeling and ad hoc analyses - Develop advanced algorithms that solve problems of large dimensionality in a computationally efficient and statistically effective manner - Implement statistical and data mining techniques (e.g., hypothesis testing, machine learning, and retrieval processes) on large amounts of data to identify trends, patterns, and other relevant information - Collaborate with clients and other stakeholders to effectively integrate and communicate analysis findings - Evaluate emerging datasets and technologies that may supplement existing analytical platforms

Job Requirements

  • Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree and 1+ years of data analytics experience
  • Hands-on experience preparing data for advanced analytics
  • Hands-on experience with advanced analytics concepts and algorithms (e.g., Regression Analysis, Logistic Regression/Decision Tree, Monte Carlo methods, Survival Analysis, Simulation, etc.)
  • Proficiency in programming languages including SQL, Python, and R
  • Ability to obtain Background Investigation Clearance.
  • Nice to Have
  • Fraud or Anomaly Detection experience
  • PowerBI dashboard development experience
  • Experience using RStudio
  • Experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS
  • Experience with DevOps tools and workflows such as Git, GitHub, Jira, Jenkins, or equivalents
