About the Role Fyfe is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Accountant to join our team in a fully remote capacity. This role plays a vital part in providing comprehensive project administration and financial support across all projects within our Finance Business Unit. You will be capable of working with limited supervision and will demonstrate maturity, initiative, and sound professional judgement in carrying out responsibilities. The successful applicant will be employed through our partner agency in the Philippines. Key Responsibilities - Set up and maintain project budgets, forecasts, and cost tracking within financial systems - Monitor project performance against budgets, identifying cost variances and potential risks - Prepare regular project financial reports, including cost-to-complete and margin analysis - Support monthly close processes, including WIP, accruals, and provisions - Ensure timely and accurate project invoicing - Assist in resolving billing disputes and commercial issues impacting cash collection - Raise invoices and follow up on outstanding payments - Conduct project financial analysis Requirements - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite - Proven experience in payroll and timesheet coordination, including compliance - Experience in project accounting, preferably within engineering, professional services, or construction environments - Strong understanding of project costing, forecasting, and revenue recognition - Excellent organisational and time management skills - Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail - Excellent written and verbal communication skills What We Offer - Permanent work-from-home arrangement - Diverse role with exposure to a variety of projects and responsibilities - Full compliance with government-mandated benefits - Generous leave entitlements to support work-life balance Our Culture Fyfe values both our clients and our people. The Hawaii region is seeking an Accountant to join the Finance & Accounting Department. The Accountant is an essential member of the Finance and Accounting team and is responsible for overseeing development and overall project expenditures, reconciliations, and data keeping. The Accountant will partner with other accounting and finance team members, Project Leadership, and the Corporate Finance and Accounting Team. In this role, you will be part of creating the Discovery Land Company experience for our members and fellow employees.Key Responsibilities - Responsible for accounting functions and execution of processes and procedures for assigned project(s). - Ensure financial operations of the project are compliant with company expectations, processes, and controls. - Prepare supporting schedules and journal entries in accordance with monthly reporting. - Participate in the oversight and control of internal financial processes at the projects. - Assist with preparation of monthly financial statements for assigned project(s). - Maintain and enhance knowledge and competency of company systems, i.e. Sage Intacct, Ramp, Egnyte, and Titanium, etc. - Act as a resource for accounting and system processes and procedures. - Audit project use of purchase cards and produce reports. - Review vendor invoices for accuracy and ensure appropriate approvals are obtained prior to processing. - Responsible for project cash management (including preparing check requests, funds transfers, distribution analysis, recording cash receipts, etc.). - Collaborate with project teams to process intercompany billings and allocate shared costs. - Back-up for all accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks. - Manage project deadlines for billings, month end close, etc. - Assist with the management of project compliance documents. - Perform duties to prescribed accounting deadlines. - Demonstrates and continually builds knowledge of GAAP/IFRS Accounting for real estate projects. - Timely reporting of material changes to Management. - Work to improve current processes and spreadsheets. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree from accredited college or University, preferably in Accounting, Finance, Business, or equivalent. - Minimum of two (2) to three (3) years of real estate accounting work-related skill, knowledge and experience is preferred. - Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel preferred. - Proficiency in real estate and development related accounting software applications. - Similar combination of education and experience. Additional Requirements - Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to deliver service to members, guests, and team members. - Must be able to work flexible work hours/schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays. • Support the measurement, analysis, and reporting of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions • Partner with Sustainability, Legal, and external auditors to support annual ESG disclosures • Interpret financial and operational data to determine inclusion in emissions calculations • Contribute to the preparation of sustainability reports aligned with frameworks (e.g., GRI, SASB) • Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and audit readiness across ESG reporting processes • Support global statutory reporting across multiple legal entities • Assist with data validation, reporting analysis, and disclosure preparation • Drive process improvements and automation initiatives within reporting workflows • Partner with IT and Finance teams on system enhancements (e.g., ERP integrations, reporting tools) • Help streamline data flows between systems (e.g., ERP → reporting platforms)
