ESG Reporting Accountant

Maleda Tech

• Support the measurement, analysis, and reporting of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions • Partner with Sustainability, Legal, and external auditors to support annual ESG disclosures • Interpret financial and operational data to determine inclusion in emissions calculations • Contribute to the preparation of sustainability reports aligned with frameworks (e.g., GRI, SASB) • Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and audit readiness across ESG reporting processes • Support global statutory reporting across multiple legal entities • Assist with data validation, reporting analysis, and disclosure preparation • Drive process improvements and automation initiatives within reporting workflows • Partner with IT and Finance teams on system enhancements (e.g., ERP integrations, reporting tools) • Help streamline data flows between systems (e.g., ERP → reporting platforms)

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Hands-on accounting experience (e.g., GL, reconciliations, close process, or audit exposure)
  • Strong understanding of GAAP principles and financial data flows
  • Advanced Excel skills (data analysis, reconciliation, reporting)
  • Experience working with auditors and supporting audit processes
  • Ability to interpret and analyze financial data for reporting purposes
  • U.S.-based and able to collaborate across time zones
  • Experience with ESG / sustainability reporting , specifically: GHG emissions / carbon accounting
  • ESG frameworks such as GRI, SASB, or TCFD
  • Experience contributing to sustainability or annual reports
  • Exposure to statutory reporting across multiple entities or regions
  • Experience with Workiva or similar reporting tools
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., Oracle)
  • Experience driving process improvements, automation, or system integrations
