Role Description As a Senior Fund Accountant, you will report directly to the Fund Accounting Manager. You will take a lead role in managing fund accounting, post-trade operations, reporting, and various projects, while mentoring junior team members. You will collaborate closely with other operations teams and technical teams across the company to support growth projects and scale Voleon's infrastructure. This role is a means to make a difference: together with the Finance team, you will be a core member of running our daily operations and creating infrastructure. Responsibilities - Lead and maintain accuracy in key reporting, including monthly and annual financial statements, tax compliance, and treasury management across multiple asset classes and geographies. - Help with tax compliance reporting review. - Serve as a primary point of contact for service providers, ensuring policies and internal control standards are followed. - Own and oversee daily and monthly reconciliations between internal records, prime brokers, counterparties, banks, and the fund administrator. - Maintain the internal accounting system; produce and review daily and monthly trading P&L reports, AUM reports, and confirm settlement activity across trading strategies. - Mentor and support junior Fund Accountants on the team. - Drive process improvement and automation initiatives across the fund accounting function. Qualifications - 5+ years of experience in hedge fund, public accounting for asset management, or fund administrator. - Thorough understanding of financial reporting and its application to investment management funds. - Experience working with enterprise-level accounting software (VPM, Geneva, Arcesium). - Advanced abilities in Microsoft Excel. - Demonstrated experience automating manual processes (preferred). - Exposure to or interest in gaining experience with python or SQL (preferred). - Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, or Accounting. - Authorization to work in the United States. SCOPE OF ROLE: The Senior Cost Accountant reports to the Director of Operations Finance. The position will collaborate with other Cost & Inventory Business Partners, other operational site leaders, FP&A analysts and works across the LSO and Fluidics organization on standardizing Cost & Inventory functions across a network of 5 plants. ESSENTIAL DUTIES: - Mastery of Cost Accountant responsibilities including: - Monitor, review and analyze daily manufacturing activities. Provide variances, examine trends and partner with site operations on root cause analysis to drive timely resolution and accurate performance reporting - Perform daily cost accounting tasks such as: - Review of Cycle count and inventory adjustments - New part costing - Engineering Change Orders / Revisions - Ensure completeness and accuracy of work orders on a weekly and monthly basis and analyze/explain variances - Perform monthly inventory General Ledger to perpetual reconciliation and balance sheet reconciliations - Perform quarterly Excess, Obsolete and Zero Usage analysis and calculations - Perform Direct Material Index calculation and understand changes month over month - Perform quarterly Intercompany Profit Elimination analysis - Partner with sites and lead financial portion of annual physical inventories - Complete monthly compliance reporting per IDEX policies and procedures - Analyze Material Variances and recommend and/or implement process improvements - Analyze Labor Efficiencies and coordinate with Operations teams on main drivers of variances - Complete SOX audits and implement corrective actions related to Cost & Inventory - Oversee the Annual Cost Rolls including the preparation and analysis of the Labor and Burden Studies - Review and recommend process improvements and standardization across multiple manufacturing sites in accordance with IDEX policies - Assist with forecasting and budgeting functions for all site manufacturing operations EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: - Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting - Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of Cost Accounting experience in a manufacturing environment - Strong grasp of GAAP accounting and cost accounting concepts - Experience with Standard Cost methodology - Experience with ERP systems is required, JD Edwards preferred - Expert skills in Excel and SAP Web Intelligence; high proficiency in OneStream and other Microsoft Office Applications, Power BI preferred OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: - Excellent analytical skills with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to work and contribute in a virtual team environment - Self-motivated, focused and able to identify needs and implement solutions with minimal supervision - Understanding of fundamental financial concepts, practices, and procedures Location: This position is a remote role; however, we are seeking candidates who reside within reasonable proximity to an IDEX Health & Science (IH&S) location. TOTAL REWARDS (May Vary by State) While the full compensation range for this role is listed below, our anticipated hiring range is $100,000–$115,000.
