As a Bodily Injury Adjuster, you will adjust third party General Liability, Auto Liability, Errors and Omissions, and Law Enforcement claims in which a claim exists for bodily injury, personal injury or wrongdoing. This role is a full-time, home-based position that may require travel at times to claims meetings at client locations, seminars for obtaining CEU credits, and scene investigations or inspections. Key Responsibilities - Manage property damage claims in accordance with the Property Damage Adjuster Job Description, client guidelines, and company policies. - Review new claim assignments, establish plans of action, and initiate insured/claimant contact within required timeframes. - Monitor daily workflows, set reminders, and ensure timely follow‑up with measurable progress toward claim resolution. - Investigate claims by gathering evidence, obtaining statements, determining injury status, and evaluating damages. - Assign and oversee appraisers or field adjusters; review estimates and reports for accuracy and appropriateness. - Maintain accurate and complete claim documentation, including notes, correspondence, and imaging of all relevant records. - Request payment authorization, handle claim denials, and act in good faith throughout the claim lifecycle. - Communicate professionally and timely with clients, insureds, claimants, attorneys, excess carriers, and other insurers. - Identify attorney involvement, coordinate with defense counsel, obtain status reports, and manage litigation-related requirements. - Comply with regulatory and reporting requirements, including Medicare reporting, No-Fault/PIP laws, ISO searches, and sovereign immunity checks. - Report qualifying claims to excess carriers, respond to reservation of rights, and understand applicable excess policies. - Meet performance standards, including claim closure ratios and continuing education/licensure requirements.
