General Ledger Senior Accountant

Argano

Role Description We are seeking a General Ledger Senior Accountant to help manage the accuracy and timely completion of the company's general ledger and financial reporting, including month-end closes, reconciliations, and journal entries. - Ensure the accuracy of general ledger entries to ledger accounts and reconciliation of subsidiary ledger accounts to the general ledger for multiple entities and countries, ensuring accurate and timely financial closing processes, while maintaining compliance with US GAAP accounting standards and internal controls. - Help to coordinate the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process, ensuring adherence to corporate deadlines and reporting requirements. - Prepare detailed account reconciliations for balance sheet accounts including prepaid expenses, fixed assets, accruals, and other month-end close activities. - Support the monthly revenue recognition process and the reconciliation of related balance sheet accounts such as unbilled revenue and deferred revenue. - Ensure intercompany transactions and eliminations are accurately recorded and reconciled. - Maintain and improve internal controls and ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies. - Support audit processes by preparing schedules, documentation, and responding to auditor inquiries. - Participate in and lead special projects and ad-hoc financial analysis as requested. Qualifications - 8+ years of progressive accounting and financial management experience. - Strong knowledge of US GAAP including revenue recognition. - Proficiency with large ERP systems required; experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 a plus. - Strong computer skills including advanced Microsoft Excel skills. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills as well as a focus on continuous improvement. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels. - Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. - Able to efficiently manage workload and thrive in a fast-paced environment. Title: Bookkeeper/Accountant Location: Remote - Stone Mountain, GA Job Description: For this full-time, remote role we are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented bookkeeper/accountant to handle the day-to-day financial record keeping for our growing business. In addition to routine bookkeeping duties, the role requires expense analysis, budgeting, advanced revenue allocation, adjustments for departmentalization, and other duties requiring a high level of accounting knowledge. This position also includes certain administrative duties for the company, such as helping to administer our internal tech-stack. You will report directly to the CEO/Owner and work with our CPA to keep our books accurate, organized, and current. In summary, we are looking for a tech-savvy professional who is equally comfortable performing a deep-dive expense analysis and picking up the phone to resolve a billing dispute or collect a past-due payment Key Responsibilities 1. Financial Management & Analysis - Handle all bookkeeping tasks needed to keep accounting records current on a daily basis. - Manage AP and vendor payments, and categorize expenses accurately and consistently. - Reconcile bank and credit card transactions monthly. - Make adjusting entries to allocate revenues and expenses to the correct accounts and time periods. - Handle month-end closing, including producing monthly financial statements. - Prepare financial documentation for CPA review as needed for tax preparation. - Work with department managers to create and track budgets; audit monthly spending to identify trends and opportunities for cost-savings. 2. Qualifications - 2+ years bookkeeping or accounting experience; strong work ethic - High proficiency with Quickbooks and Excel, Google Workspace experience a plus. - Experience handling various administrative duties, such as managing software subscriptions, assisting with special projects, etc. - Proven record of integrity in handling financial matters; a clean background check is required.
