Senior Manager Supply Chain Solutions
Lob
Lob was founded in 2013 by technical co-founders with a vision to connect the world one mailbox at a time. Today, we're transforming the way businesses use direct mail and bringing the power of technology to a traditionally manual channel. Our modern logistics and fulfillment engine helps businesses to build and scale high-quality, personalized direct mail programs without the operational burden. As we grow to meet the evolving needs of our customers and expand our product offerings, we’re building a team to shape the future of direct mail. Lob is seeking a versatile, high-impact Senior Manager of Supply Chain Solutions. As we scale toward 1B annual mail pieces, we are transitioning to a vertically integrated material strategy. This role is a "generalist-expert" position designed for a leader who can navigate the complexities of long-range planning, strategic sourcing, and financial integration. You will be the architect of our upstream supply chain infrastructure. This includes owning the strategic procurement of raw materials and building the foundational operational processes—such as our Purchase Order (PO) and vendor management frameworks—that will allow our network to scale efficiently. Key Responsibilities - Operational Infrastructure: Partnering with our S&OP team, design and manage a robust PO process, integrating approved AI tools to streamline approvals, audit trail documentation, and spend visibility. - Strategic Sourcing and Procurement: Own the end-to-end procurement lifecycle for critical materials, moving Lob from spot-buying to long-term strategic partnerships and Master Service Agreements. - Financial & Operational Forecast Synchronization: Drive the alignment between corporate financial forecasts and operational execution plans. You will ensure that material procurement and network capacity are perfectly synchronized with FP&A revenue models, preventing capital bottlenecks or inventory obsolescence - Long-Range Planning (LRP): Develop and maintain a multi-year capacity and material roadmap to support aggressive enterprise growth targets and 6–18 month forecasting horizons serving as a strategic signal for S&OP. - Procurement Governance & Compliance: Design, implement, and manage a robust Purchase Order (PO) process to ensure tight financial controls and visibility across all capital expenditures. - Financial & Capital Stewardship: Partner with Finance and FP&A to manage the balance sheet impact of inventory investments and optimize working capital. - Supply Chain Generalist Support: Act as a cross-functional "hat-wearer," supporting diverse initiatives from network architecture to logistics optimization as business needs evolve. - Vendor Ecosystem Management: Lead high-level negotiations and maintain health across our primary material suppliers, ensuring lead times and quality align with our production standards. What will you bring to this role… - Senior-Level Generalist Experience: 8-12 years in supply chain strategy, sourcing, or operations. You should be as comfortable building a process from scratch as you are analyzing a complex P&L. - Process Engineering: A proven track record of building operational workflows (like PO systems or ERP integrations) in high-growth environments. - Financial & Analytical Mastery: Expert-level SQL and data modeling skills to extract insights and justify multi-million dollar capital commitments. - Systems Thinking: The ability to see how upstream procurement decisions ripple through to downstream print production and customer delivery SLAs. - Strategic Agility: Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work seamlessly between high-level strategy and tactical execution. - Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or Finance. APICS or Lean Six Sigma certifications are a plus. At Lob, we are looking to #LevelUp and #EmpowerDiversity, we invite you to apply if you possess even some of these: - Experience with SIOP software systems or ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is preferred with implementation and integration experience - APICS Certification preferred - Lean Six Sigma Black Belt - Bachelor's degree in Business, Technology, Logistics Supply Chain, Finance and/or experience in related fields Compensation Information The total compensation package for this role is comprised of an annual base salary, a variable, and RSUs.
