In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable web applications, working across both frontend and backend systems. - Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop robust, scalable, and high-performance web applications using React on the frontend and Python on the backend.
- Build intuitive, responsive, and visually appealing user interfaces with modern React practices (hooks, functional components, state management libraries).
- Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services using Python frameworks such as Django or Flask.
- Ensure seamless integration between frontend and backend systems.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices and coding standards.
- Optimize applications for maximum speed, scalability, and responsiveness.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
- Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and technical decision-making.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems to improve performance and reliability.
- Implement security and data protection best practices across applications.
- Required Skills & Qualifications
- 4–8 years of professional experience in fullstack development.
- Strong proficiency in React, including component lifecycle, hooks, and state management (e.g., Redux, Context API).
- Solid experience with Python and backend frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
- Good understanding of frontend technologies including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), and responsive design principles.
- Experience in building and consuming RESTful APIs.
- Familiarity with databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB.
- Understanding of version control systems like Git.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) is a plus.
- Experience with containerization tools like Docker is desirable.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with modern frontend tooling (Webpack, Vite, Babel).
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Exposure to microservices architecture.
- Understanding of testing frameworks for both frontend and backend (e.g., Jest, PyTest).
- Prior experience working in agile development environments.

We are hiring a strong software engineering intern to help turn that architecture into polished, reliable product experiences. We are hiring a Software Engineer Intern (Product & Backend) for a paid 12-week summer internship from May through July 2026. This is a remote role based in the United States and is expected to be 40 hours per week. Compensation for this internship is $23/hour.
