Description and Requirements The Pet Senior Data & Analytics Consultant is responsible for delivering the data and analytical insights that support the pet business's pricing, retention, and performance objectives. This new position on the Pet Product Team will serve as the internal leader for data structure, reporting, and analysis, and will play a key role in improving and further developing the department's data and measurement capabilities. The role ensures the business has accurate, reliable data to evaluate performance, monitor key drivers, and support sound, data-driven decision-making. This is a highly visible role within the organization and will operate closely with business leaders on a day-to-day basis to support the pet business's analytical, reporting, and performance-monitoring needs. Principal Responsibilities: - Supporting Pet Executive Team in extracting reporting from our data tables and systems of record (SORs) - Develop and maintain tooling to track cross functional performance, giving guidance where necessary - Manage analytics initiatives end-to-end, collaborating with the Data & Analytics and IT teams - SQL modeling for complex and layered problems not yet solved by Data Engineering - Utilize data and dashboards to identify opportunities for improving policy holder retention - Audit and reconcile differences in reporting across various teams - Organize multiple data sources and tables to build and prepare data foundations for each business use case - Will be responsible for UAT & QA testing, data analysis, data visualization, measurement, and analytics - Work closely with Pet Executive Team to review and monitor reporting requirements. This is a very technical hands-on role and is responsible for the functional design of the end-to-end data process - Work with business owners and data scientists to translate given business problems into analytical solutions with defined outcomes - Drive Continuous Improvement: Constantly analyze existing processes and systems to identify opportunities for automation and optimization Knowledge/Skills/Competencies Required: - 5+ years of relevant experience (Pet Insurance knowledge a plus) - Expert proficiency in SQL required for data extraction and transformation - Expert proficiency in Microsoft Excel required (VBA a plus) - Proficiency with PowerBI and data visualization - Understanding data warehousing concepts and architecture - Support pricing and underwriting decisions through data analysis - Experience designing and maintaining scalable reporting solution - Design analytics that directly inform pricing, retention, and portfolio performance decisions - Strong project management skills including problem solving, attention to detail, analytical thinking, and decisiveness Preferred: - Actuarial background The expected salary range for this position is $76,500 - $125,000. This role may also be eligible for annual short-term incentive compensation. All incentives and benefits are subject to the applicable plan terms.
