Important Information Experience: +6 years Job Mode: Full-time Work Mode: Remote ID: 20771 Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled Azure Cloud Engineer with strong experience in Linux administration, cloud infrastructure, DevOps, and security. This role will focus on managing and modernizing cloud environments, supporting application migrations, and improving infrastructure reliability and performance. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on expertise in Azure services, Terraform, and containerization, along with experience in enterprise environments involving WildFly, Oracle databases, and cloud networking. Responsibilities and Duties Cloud Infrastructure Management - Support daily operations of Azure cloud infrastructure, ensuring high availability, performance, and reliability. - Design and implement cloud solutions for both new and existing workloads. - Provision and manage Azure VM-based environments, including networking and storage. - Configure and maintain virtual networks, firewalls, and access control policies. - Monitor cloud systems, analyze performance, and troubleshoot issues proactively. - Analyze cloud usage and identify opportunities for cost optimization. - Participate in on-call rotations to support production environments. Security & Compliance - Implement and manage cloud security measures, including IAM, access policies, and data protection. - Secure and manage container images, artifacts, and version control systems. - Monitor threats and ensure compliance with data privacy and security standards. - Establish and enforce access controls and governance policies. DevOps & Automation - Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Git-based workflows. - Develop and manage infrastructure as code using Terraform. - Automate processes, including transitioning from static text-based configurations to dynamic, variable-based configurations. - Support containerization efforts, including dockerizing WildFly applications. - Work with configuration management tools such as Puppet. Application & Database Support - Assist in refactoring Apache front-end configurations. - Support migration of Oracle VM-hosted databases to Autonomous Databases. - Collaborate on database-related enhancements (knowledge of database systems is a plus). - Support application servers such as WildFly and related middleware. Qualifications and Skills - 6+ years of experience in Cloud Engineering, DevOps, or Infrastructure roles. - Strong hands-on experience with: - Microsoft Azure (VMs, networking, security, monitoring) - Linux administration and scripting - Terraform (Infrastructure as Code) - Docker and containerization - CI/CD pipelines and Git-based workflows - Experience with: - Azure Front Door - WildFly application server - Apache web server (refactoring/configuration) - Cloud security (IAM, policies, access control) - Experience managing and securing cloud-based infrastructure. - Strong troubleshooting and performance optimization skills. Preferred Qualifications - Experience with Autonomous Databases and Oracle migrations. - Familiarity with Puppet or other configuration management tools. - Knowledge of AWS (multi-cloud experience is a plus). - Experience with Oneshield/Mustang platforms. - Understanding of database systems and optimization. - Experience with event-driven or microservices architectures.
