Application Engineer - Canada (2209) Requisition ID 2209 Location: Calgary, Alberta, Canada (Remote) About the Role Trillium Flow Technologies is seeking an Application Engineer to provide technical expertise and customer-focused solutions within our Pumps business. This role partners closely with customers, sales, and engineering teams to deliver tailored fluid handling solutions that drive performance, reliability, and customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities - Collaborate with customers to understand technical requirements and recommend appropriate pump and fluid handling solutions - Support the sales process through technical proposals, product selection, and application guidance - Deliver product demonstrations, presentations, and customer training - Troubleshoot technical issues and provide pre- and post-sales support - Analyze system requirements and application data to ensure optimal product performance - Partner with engineering and product teams to communicate customer feedback and support product improvements - Prepare technical documentation such as application notes, specifications, and installation guides - Stay current on industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies - Participate in customer visits, trade shows, and industry events - Adhere to company quality, safety, and environmental standards, including ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 requirements Qualifications & Experience - Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, or equivalent technical experience - Minimum 3 years of experience in application engineering, technical sales support, or similar role - Knowledge of fluid dynamics, pump technologies, and related systems - Strong problem-solving and analytical skills - Effective communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly - Proficiency with engineering tools (e.g., CAD, simulation software) and Microsoft Office - Ability to travel as required to support customers and business needs Work Environment - Remote-based role with occasional travel - May require use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, hearing protection, or steel-toed footwear when visiting operational sites Compensation & Benefits - The expected salary range for this role is $85,000 – $115,000 CAD, depending on experience and qualifications Additional Information - Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada at the time of application - This position may involve collaboration across different time zones
