The Role Calling all Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (formerly NAV) consultants! In this client facing consulting role, you’ll play a key part in helping customers modernize and optimize their operations through successful Business Central implementations. This role is focused specifically on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central within a consulting environment, not internal ERP administration or helpdesk-style support. You’ll work directly with customers to design, configure, and implement BC solutions that support core operational functions across manufacturing, distribution, warehousing, inventory, purchasing, and order fulfillment. If you’ve led end-to-end BC implementations, enjoy partnering closely with clients, and thrive in a fast paced consulting environment; this may be the role for you. What You’ll Do Client Collaboration & Solution Design - Partner directly with client stakeholders to understand operational processes, challenges, and business goals. - Gather detailed requirements and translate them into tailored Business Central solutions. - Proactively identify pain points and demonstrate how Dynamics 365 Business Central can add measurable value. System Configuration & Customization - Configure Business Central to align with operational requirements and best practices. - Customize workflows, reports, and extensions to support unique client environments. - Ensure seamless integrations across business functions and third-party solutions. End-to-end Implementations - Serve as a functional lead through the full BC implementation lifecycle: analysis, design, configuration, testing, go live, and post-go-live support. - Ensure solutions are scalable, user adopted, and exceed client expectations—not just technically functional. Operational Process Optimization - Analyze end-to-end operational processes, including manufacturing, inventory, warehousing, purchasing, and fulfillment. - Recommend and implement improvements that increase efficiency, visibility, and performance using base Business Central functionality and add‑on tools. Training, Enablement & Mentorship - Deliver client training to ensure confidence and long-term adoption of Business Central. - Provide post go live advisory support and optimization as client needs evolve. - Mentor junior consultants and contribute to team knowledge sharing and best practices. Data Migration & Integration - Lead data migrations from legacy systems into Business Central, ensuring accuracy and integrity. - Support integrations with EDI, shipping solutions, and related operational systems. Project & Cross Functional Collaboration - Partner closely with project managers to manage scope, timelines, effort, and client satisfaction. - Collaborate with other consultants and internal teams to deliver cohesive, end-to-end solutions. Continuous Improvement - Stay current on Business Central updates, features, and the broader Microsoft ecosystem. - Act as a subject matter expert for BC operational functionality and industry best practices. Who Will Succeed in This Role This role is a great fit if you: - Have deep experience with Dynamics 365 Business Central / NAV in a consulting or Microsoft Partner environment - Are comfortable leading full cycle implementations independently - Enjoy advising customers rather than maintaining internal ERP systems - Have hands-on experience with complex operational scenarios - Take pride in delivering thoughtful, scalable, real-world solutions Qualifications - 5+ years of experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (formerly NAV) - Proven experience leading multiple end-to-end BC implementations, both remote and onsite - Strong functional expertise in manufacturing, distribution, warehousing, MRP/MPS, and inventory management - Experience interfacing with end users and translating business requirements into system design - Superior client facing communication and presentation skills - Strong documentation skills, including Functional Design Documents Operational & Add-on Experience (Strongly Preferred): - Expert in Discrete and Process Manufacturing (food is a plus!) - Strong understanding of base BC planning tools (MRP / MPS) - Experience configuring complex warehousing solutions in Business Central - Experience implementing at least two of the following: - Insight Works Warehouse Insight - Insight Works Shop Floor - Insight Works Order Fulfillment - Insight Works Dynamic Ship - Experience implementing base BC Shopify Connector and BC Service module - Business Central MB-800 Certification - Experience with Microsoft Power Platform - Experience with integrations The Perks: - Stellar Salary: Get ready to be rewarded handsomely, with a competitive OTE ranging from $100k - $150k USD per year. Enjoy generous paid time off for vacations, holidays, and those inevitable sick days. Work hard, but don't forget to play hard! - Remote Work Magic: Embrace the freedom to work remotely from the location of your choice. Who we are: We've been on an exciting mission since 1987 to partner with customers as they transform and grow their businesses. As a Microsoft Solution Partner, we’re recognized as a top partner. We owe that success to our team of 150+ Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power Platform solutions experts who pair business needs with system capabilities to create the recipe for success. We are continuously innovating to maximize our customers’ technology investments. From our IP products to our teams who always have a little fun, we are not your average ERP company. We encourage you to apply even if you feel that you do not meet all of the above qualifications.
